Anyone ever had broken consoles?

I had one or two Xbox 360s die on me. My latest one, which is still the old model, worked the last time I fired it up, which was about a year and a half ago. I'm gonna get one of the new models before the XBOne completely replaces the 360.
11 xbox 360's died on me, all replaced by store warranties. You'd think one of them would last a decent amount of time eh? One even dying the day after I got it. PS3, PS2, PSOne, Sega Genesis, SNES, Wii, GCN, all still work.
NES died because the things were so cheaply made, replaced the 72 pin connector and a month later nothing. Shame.

My first 360 refused to read discs after a while, then, after I tried to make it do what it was supposed to, decided to RROD. No other console died, and I still use my slim PS2 every now and then. Haven't tried the Gamecube and Xbox in a while, and all my handhelds still work fine.
My first PS2 died after 4 years of use. I fixed it up by jury rigging the wires and got it going for another 3 years. Then it died for good.
I've had 4 PS3s fail on me. 3 unidentified problems and one Yellow light death.

All of my other consoles that I've owned (NES, SNES, PS1, various handhelds, original xbox) were all either broken or stolen by someone before they could die normally.

Xbox 360 - 2 years after getting it - RROD
Sega Mega Drive - Last month sooooooo.... bout 14 years after getting it - meh
Ds - snapped into two seperate pieces - that was kinda completely my fault

1st PS2: died after 4-5 years, the disk reader just simply stopped working

Gamecube: While it did work the last time I used it, the disk reader was taking longer and longer to read disks and sometimes flat out refused to work. It was basically the PS2 all over again and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work at all if I bothered to dig it up.

My Xbox red ringed on me. Sent it back to fix it and it's still going till today.

The chip in my PS2 died two-three weeks after I got it. Thankfully I'd only had time to buy one game that needed it so yay? (I know, I should have used the warranty and sent it back, but I SUCK at sending things back.)
Other than that, nope. Didn't grow up with any and too poor to buy any now. Although I suppose the Commodore 64 handed down from my brother counts; my big sister asked if she could play on it and the next day it was broken =/ (I think she forgot to turn it off or something.) I hadn't had that long either >=/

I'm on my third Xbox 360. I got this one back when the slim was released but the arcade model was still the cheaper one. I assume my current 360 will die eventually too. I also have a Super Ninteno which looks like someone went nuts with a hammer on its casing. It's still fully functional though which is great! More Goemon and Castlevania IV for me.
My first launch 360 red ringed about a year after I got it, sent it in and the refurbished one they sent me back red ringed a few months later, I bought an elite and it got the E70 error, bought a glossy slim and eventually it stopped reading discs and the hard drive kept corrupting my data, now I'm on my matte slim and its doing fine thus far.
Had a original fat PS3 that lasted me all the way until a few months ago when it finally YLOD now I have a super slim.

Had 3 Xbox 360's die on me in a 6 month span which on the 3rd death i was told that what died was not under the warrenty and i would have to shell out cash to replace it. Well let me tell you i couldn't get a ps3 fast enough and i got one in time for GoW 3.
I've had an Xbox 360 die on me, it had the red ring of death, it was about 3 years old, but still, you'd think they may last a little longer than that...considering I have a PS2 that still works and I've had since release.
The only other console I've had break was my DS Lite, the hinge cracked, but I've never had any other iteration of the DS break on me (probably 'cos I've kept selling and upgrading since then haha).
I think modern consoles just seem to have more that can go wrong with them, almost as if you expect it to break within warranty now. Considering I have a NES and SNES that work fine (though granted I've only had them for a year, so I don't know how much they were used before me).

Nope, PS2 and PS3 still working and the other ones I sold before they had any problems. My PS3 (generation 1, 5 years old) has recently been developing a nasty habit of sometimes shutting down mid-game, but nothing too serious yet.
Luckily I've only had one console ever break on me. It wasn't even an issue that was entirely out of my control either. I just happened to drop my PSP in such an unfortunate manner that the UMD reader broke and wouldn't ever shut. And at that point I had gotten bored of physical games and was just using it for the convenience of downloadable games, so it was barely even a noteworthy loss.
