Well this is one for the books. I'm so good I don't even have to be there to win. *does a merry jig*
Still, I feel bad about backstabbing Europe. It was quick and ruthless but very cold.
Robbed! Robbed, I was! All that time saving my subs to nuke hell out of Mel for nothing! Pah!

Alas, if it wasn't for those cheap shots of mine at New York within the final seconds of the game, then you still would have come first, me thinks. Ah well, I guess that's how the ruthless game goes, eh?

Same time next week, fellas?

Sorry I missed the game this week, a whole load of things came to my attention on Saturday. So I had a lot on my plate. Hopefully, I should be there for next week's game, to get beaten by every fucker.

It's about that time again people. We've had problems getting a full 6 into a game and this time I'm mad enough to nuke something. Gremlin, akirasfriend; this time I'll accept no excuses. You too Strafe. Mel...you're alright so far. Anyone else to pad out the full 6?

I should be good to go. I couldn't make a Saturday changeover, though, I do all my business-y work then, heh.

The usual time. The problem with saying "the usual time" is that google GMT and the ~GMT that actual people are actually experiencing in London are one hour apart somehow. Talk to strafe; he'll know.
Something that's been bothering me is this: why is every single defcon player here, bar me, living in the british isles? Do you people have some morbid fascination with nuclear war?

Ack, I cannae make the usual time.

Hmmmn. Perhaps.

What really amuses me though it that it's rated 7+. Why the hell is Jack Thompson whining about GTA when a seven year old is able to buy a game that allows him to fire freakin' nukes at major population centres?

Tis true, Google's an hour slow when you try to get the time for some wierd reason. Defcon got quite a lot of coverage in PC magazines over here, Pc Gamer gave it a really good review. I don't know if that's what influenced everyone else, but it's what made me buy it. So, 2pm GMT proper non-google UK time then?

If anyone is curious, it is now 12 o'clock, British time. That means two hours until the game. And can someone figure out how we take screenshots in-game?!

Ho-lee SHIT.
Can you believe I forgot the game was tonight until I read your post Mel? How can I tell myself I'm the hardcore Defcon player of the group if I can't even remember when it's being played?
I blame GTA 4. Jack Thompson is right: that game changes you.

Okay, I'm a bit late but the server's now up. All entries get your ass to the server lobby! Usual details: Game name: Strafe Mcgee, Password: Escapist (might not be a capital E, can't remember.)

EDIT: Never mind, games cancelled this week due to poor attendance and general GTA addiction :D.

My apologies that I wasn't around; I had a load of work to do which was simply piled on me, amongst other stuff. Maybe we could reschedule for tomorrow? Plus, I need an excuse to put that Defcon review up on 3scapism, so using screenies from one of our games could be a prime opportunity to promote 'em, too.

I'm getting an itchy finger just dying to press the big red button so I'm wondering if the old gang wants to play some more defcon. Mel, Strafe, Gremlin, akira? What say you?
