Anyone find ME3 Demo on PC really poorly optimised?

I had no performance problems or bugs/glitches at all with it.

I play it on Windows 7 32bit with a dual core processor at 3.2ghz,4gb ram,and amd 6850.

It ran perfectly on my computer. Get a new rig.

i7
GTX570
12gb ram

And ME1 looked like shit on my PC until I found some .ini tweaks I had to make to get the textures to display properly.

Uh well just FYI stating "2.1ghz dual core" is almost meaningless besides letting us know it's pretty slow. Same goes for "1gb of graphics ram," pretty much every GPU and it's mother has 1gb of VRAM but they still perform extremely differently.

So, probably your system isn't quite as good as you're thinking.

That said, ME1 looked like shit so I doubt this one could look that bad. I have not tried it yet, however.
My system runs Crysis on high without any performance hitches so it's not bad. It should be able to run Mass Effect fine unless Mass effect is the most inefficient game since NWN2.

Many are theorizing the final product will look better; that they had to cut some corners so the demo would be small enough for a sampling.

At 1400x900, which is the normal resolution I run everything at, the game chugged like I was trying to play Crysis. Had to bring it down to 1280x720. For low and medium range resolutions(it defaulted to 800x600, I was like, WTF is it 2000 again?!) it seems to play fine, but try to go high res and it just shits itself.

What?

I was running the game on my LAPTOP and the game still looked gorgeous.

It's the animation that threw me off.

Let's hope this doesn't carry over into the final product on launch since the Xbox 360 framerate happens to chug more frequently then you would expect. I'm not sure what it would be on your adverage PC but to me it was just sad.

People are probably already thinking about making another High Resoulution Texture Pack modification just because the developers are too lazy to fix it. It's one of those odd situations where you want to like it but the effort alone would be asking for trouble.

Worked fine for me, and my computer is nothing special.

Only PC-specific complaint I have is how tiny the UI elements are.
