I need something to listen to while playing games and I currently only have one podcast that I currently watch, Funhaus' Dudesoup podcast. But since they only release on a weekly basis, I'm going to need some more.

For topics I'm interested in would be games, movies, anime, and comics. Really don't care about anything else, maybe just a decent structure so the podcast isn't all over the place.

Anyone got anything?

Depends how much attention you want to pay to it, but Serial with Sarah Koenig is very interesting (to me at least). There are two seasons so far. The first deals with true story of the murder of a Korean student and the trial that followed. The second is about an American soldier who abandoned his post in Afghanistan and was subsequently captured by the Taliban. They are pretty intense and require you to pay attention.

I also religiously (pun intended) listen to the BadChristian podcast, which is done by a couple of the guys in the band Emery. It's not preachy or anything, I just like the various topics they cover. It's more light-hearted.

I like Retsutalk, by the Retsupurae guys. It's not very often they put one out, but they've got a big backlog. They scatterbrain on occasion, though.

Giant Bomb does a couple of podcasts about games that are pretty good, the west coast guys have the Giant Bomb cast every Tuesday and the East coast guys have the Beastcast every Friday, they talk about what games they've been playing as well as game and tech news. The format is consistent starting off with an opening segment, moving on to games topics, then games news, then viewer questions and corrections. They also do another sporadic podcast called Giant Bomb Presents that involves interviews with various designers and other people involved in the games industry.

The completely Unneccessary Podcast by Pat Contri and Ian Ferguson is more focused on retro games and retro game collecting, with some random movie and nerd stuff mixed in, they release an episode every 2 weeks or so.

The honest trailer guys release all their movie fights episodes in podcast form, usually debating various movie topics and questions, pretty decent format, very organized as the whole thing is structured as a contest with the guests arguing various topics and the moderator and staff assigning points to the person that makes the best argument.

The CinemaSins group also does a completely movie focused podcast called the SinCast talking about new and old movies as well as breaking down various cliches that crop up in movies.

Last but not least, I find Total Biscuit's Co-optional podcast to be pretty good too, if you like Total Biscuit's stuff then that's probably worth checking out, pretty much all games focused.

Appreciate the recommendation, but that is way to serious for what I'm looking for. I'm going for more of a couple friends or internet personalities get in a room and talk about the newest game/movie for an hour or two. Not deep political talk or stories of wartime.

Might check out the second one though. Never was that big of a fan of Emery, but still sounds like it could be neat.

No prob. They do a lot of interviews with other bands which can be really interesting (or really boring depending on which band).

If you want something where a group of people talk about videogames and movies, then maybe you should give SuperBestFriendCast a go.

It's just a group of 4 lets players by the name of Super Best Friends Play talking for half an hour about their own personal experiences with nerdy stuff, followed by about 2-3 hours of news discussion.

There are two major selling points of this podcast. The first one is their charisma and humour and the second one is that 3 out of 4 members of the group used to work in QA, so they know they stuff.

They upload new recordings (usually) at tuesdays, so as of time of typing all this I am waiting for then to release episode 142.

Here is the link: http://superbestfriendsplay.com/series/friendcast/

I would recommend The Giant Beastcast. It's done by the guys at Giant Bomb, and is basically what you'd expect from 4 guys in their mid-30's sitting around, talking about games.

The WeeklyPlanetPodcast. They are mainly a movie focused podcast, but they also discuss comics and TV shows a lot. But best of all, they have amazing Australian accents and have grade A banter. They are the only ones so far who can make me sit through a Lootcrate ad, because they really are just so damn funny.

Here's the YouTube playlist of some of their podcasts: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqt3wbDmZi8TbwVuOe-s_4yTV3Qjg256Q

The Dollop - http://thedollop.libsyn.com/

Comedian Dave Anthony reads real stories from history to his friend, comedian Gary Reynolds (definitely Gary, not Gareth, Dave is very clear on that) who doesn't know what the topics are about and the whole podcast is just their reactions to the ridiculousness that is (mostly) American history. Podcasts range from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on what the topic is.

Personal favorites from the earlier episodes:

Oofty Goofty
10 Cent Beer Night
The Willie Dee
The American Vampire Panic
The Dolphin
David Hahn

This podcast really helps me get through the work week.

Technically not a podcast due to being on Youtube, but it is an experience where the audio is the only part that matters:

If you want to hear a guy tell "Grandpa stories" (And so I put an onion on my belt, as was the fashion at the time, where was I? Oh yes, so back in my day we called turkey "Waking bird" and we'd spend all our hard-scavenged silver dollars on walking bird. We got our silver dollars by finding the zeppelins that rich men flew around in dropping coins on people. And another thing...) about tabletop gaming, Counter Monkey is the place to go.

Super Best Friends cast I check out every week. It's about everything nerd related.

I sometimes dip into the Co-Optional podcast, which is all about videogames. And then there's The Weekly Planet podcast, which is solely about comicbooks and comicbook movies and TV shows.

I have a few I like, so here they are.

Co-Optional Podcast is rad if your into games and TotalBiscuit.

Real Life Friends by Alchestbreach is completely free on youtube and download, and is tons of fun.

Vivcast is a podcast by the MLP fan animator who talks about the shows episodes. Your OC Sucks is sometimes fun to look at peoples OC's, whether they are crazy or crazy cool.

Super Best Friends is tons of fun and hilarious. Watch some of their gameplay for a sample of their personalities.

Old episodes of the YogPod are entertaining, sort of.

The Order 66 Podcast is great if you are into tabletop roleplaying in the Star Wars universe. Don't really listen to any other podcasts, though I have watched bits from the co-optional podcast, and it's pretty amusing.

Joe Rogan's podcast is always pretty good. I'm a spiritual guy so I listen to a lot of Bethel church and Kris Vallatton. Those guys come with the gold! Bill Burr has a good one too. Also obviously TED talks are always enjoyable and I've been listening to one for a while called Creative Minds, they do interviews with some pretty intelligent, creative people.

Ditto'd, theirs is the only podcast I listen to every week.

They clearly care about films, comics, etc, but they're also a perfect dose of none of this shit really matters, so they deal with any pointless internetz drama in great offhand ways, without ever just being dicks or coming across as judgemental. Plus, their random banter is capable of making any topic entertaining, including ads, as you said. If I'm listening to one I've heard before, I never skip their ad rambles.

Grab dat gem indeed.
