You should be able to use the same fix as the demo to enable gore. I used the same fix and was able to play with no problems. This was last week however so if a patch has been released since it may not work.

move to canada... we have remarkably low/non existant game regulating policies... you can play whatever you want without the problem of undue censorship... also yeah it's canada... also if you moved to canada and chose the west coast to live on you can get any sort of booze/food/media that's produced like anywhere in the world... it's awesome.

Don't bother importing or getting the Steam version gifted. Steam will download the censored because your IP is from a country where it's censored.
It's also not a very good idea to download a cracked version, simply because of (possible) viruses and the chance that steam finds out and bans your account/IP.

OT : If you're on PC then there are ways, not just with the code, but people are constantly tearing up these games looking for stuff like that. Thing is Valve tends to use Steam to force updates on your game so you could try importing a physical copy, or if possible, using a fix but disabling Steam.
Send letters to the government to tell them to get there asses in line and fix the rating system. Of course the argument "a lack of gore ruins realism!" isn't going to do much. I'd suggest working with the files to alter the game or dealing with it. (altering the files is frowned upon by me though).

I just got an uncensored version for my birthday- apparently there's a store that sells them under the counter, but you have to ask for them and you don't get a receipt. Since I'm sure of this, I dunno if I should post the name here- If you wanna know, PM me. I feel like a drug dealer!
