Eh, I wouldn't say so. I mean, the game is obviously inspired by Bloodlines and related media (Celerity is called Celerity...you also have Obfuscation, Domination, and Presence) but I'd classify the powers as "generic vampirismness". They are some of the most generic traits associated with vampires - super senses, super speed, super strength, mind control, even the blink is just a variation of the leap many have (and it's called Shadow Leap anyway). Distract seems the most non-generic one, then again...mind control - just a more specific implementation.2fish said:Also the powers seem to be mostly Malkavian right?
Speaking VtM-wise, the guy could be...like any clan. Seriously, all the powers displayed (sans Shadow Leap and Distract) are among the most common Disciplines. Somewhat more likely to be a Toreador - has Celerity, Presence and AuspexVampire Vision[footnote]the latter two almost lifted from Bloodlines. Thought Vampire Vision could also be Protean 1[/footnote] all clan Disciplines for the toreador. But then again, if you swap Presence for DominateDomination and Celerity for Obfuscate that's Malks from before 1998. Potence[footnote]the stealth kills/finishing moves looked like superhuman strength[/footnote], Presence and Celerity for Brujah, If we assume that Obtenebration is in there[footnote]bit of a stretch but Shadow Leap is one of the powers there, in fact it's lifted straight from Bloodlines, DARK's Obfuscate could be another one, and...I'm stretching it here a lot, but the swirling darkness effect from skill usage is another hallmark of the Discipline[/footnote], then combined with Potence and Dominate it's the Lasombra Discipline set.
But then again, these are (almost) all super generic Disciplines that any vampire can pick up - in order of ease of learning: Regeneration (using blood for healing) all vampires know; anyone can work out Potence, Celerity, and Auspex given some time; then slightly harder, as in you probably have to put some effort - Dominate, Presence. In fact with such a generic skill set, if the game is to be represented using Bloodlines, then it's going to be Caitiff - a clanless vampire that has no clan Disciplines. They sort of gravitate towards jack of all trades...similar to Mr Protagonist there.
