hello all. i've started writing a machinima series that i have been told (i showed the scripts around school and a few other spots) it's very funny.

i have a capture card and im wondering if anyone knows of any good capture programs. i do know about the EXTREME prosseser lag. and i had one before. im using vista on the HP pavillion media and gaming PC. there are S-video and RCA jacks covering this machine but vista does not accept their existance. like i said. i had a good capture program before that used Svideo and all the other inputs. and i do have the default cable inputs too (RGA?) can anyone lend a hand?

oh mighty internet. i put this question in your hands

I myself have no experience using a Capture program, but my younger brother went through a Machinima phase, so he got a capture card.

Pinnacle Studio, I'm pretty sure. From the machinima that helped voice, I could see that the video quality was very good. Though of course we only took captured video from Halo 3, so I don't know how it would hold up on other games.

And of course, you face the memory problem. Every video, even ones that only ran for a few minutes, took of gratuitous amounts of memory; We even had to buy a 300 GB external hard drive to compensate for this fact.

Try Pinnacle, I guess, but that's all I would know.

I used pinnacle studios too.

There was a good one that came with Happauge or what ever it was called. ATI Wonder and some others.

...Pokeball?

Wish I could help beyond silly buggery, but I'm not adept or familiar at all with it.
