Anyone know anything about Deus Ex: HR Social Enhancers?

I am on a second play through, and the first thing I got was the Social Enhancer, but I am not 100% sure what the Alpha, Beta and Omega terms mean. I am just curious if someone could help me out a little bit, I might go into my library and get a book about it, but I am not sure if that is 100% necessary for a video game.

Basically if lights blink when they say something, pay attention to what side of the spectrum they are on and count how many, by the time you get the choice, left is alpha, beta is up, and omega is right. Choose the corresponding one to whichever number was highest.

It's a very simple minigame, really. It only works for a few characters in the game that have an option to be persuaded with the aid of pheromones. Pay attention to how many bars flash in each type and then choose the response corresponding to the type that got the most.

Where the Social Enhancer really shines, though, is in the "verbal boss battles," where it gives you a psychological profile of the character you're talking to and a "persuasion meter" that tracks your progress.

Alpha, Beta and Omega refer to personality types. The social enhancer influences these types in different ways, and you have to choose the right personality type when you activate the augmentation.

When you are having a conversation with someone where the social enhancer can be used, the game will bring up a cue telling you to press a button to release pheromones. Once you do this, you will be given three options. You can Appease the person, Charm them or Pressure them. Each option corresponds to one personality type, Alpha, Beta or Omega. Choosing the right one unlocks the reward. You have to pay attention when the conversation is happening to see which personality spikes the highest, as the will often display more than one type. You need at least 2 bars to be able to make a choice, though sometimes 2 personality types will spike to 2 and you need to a level 3 spike.

At some points in conversations you'll see the "Use pheromones" option pop up. Then you pick the option based on what personality type you saw to instantly win.
