i remember being 15 and missing the afternoon from school on the DC's day of release.

I still have it too. Much better (console wise) than it's Sony running mate, shame it was the library of games that let it down.

I blame the Sega Shiturn that came before it.

I have a Dreamcast. Because I live in the future. And in the future, everybody lives in a Dreamcast, it does everything. Good thing Sega didn't spend more money on their other games and hardwares to make most of them great so now they would finally solve all of Man's problems with a giant Dreamcast.

As a serious note, I still find the Dreamcast to have the best, most zen like opening sequence when you turn it on.

What about Powerstone? yea? no? hmm.

Code Veronica was awesome on the DC. I also played DOA2 and Crazy Taxi was always great. Mine's on my shelf...haven't touched it in a looonng time.

the Dreamcast was my first game system and I still have it. Power stone was probably my favorite game on it back then. Eventually it was sadly forgotten when I got my PS2 and then it went the way of the gamecube and was put away never to be played again.

Do you all know that Powerstone 1 & 2 are on the PSP now? I've not played it on the system myself, but all those wanting a good pocket sized party game-- might be worth checking out.

Grandia II, Skies of Arcadia, Crazy Taxi, D2 (crap graphics, but creepy story), Resident Evil Code Veronica, Soul Calibur, Sonic Adventure, Dead or Alive 2, Marvel vs. Capcom, Seaman (everyone should try that game, weird as it is), Space Channel 5, Chu Chu Rocket...plenty of fun to be had on a Dreamcast, for sure.

My dreamcast broke sadly.

Now ill never be able to play games like Power Stone and Skies of Arcadia again unless I buy a new one from Ebay.

I also loved Soul Calibur buy you can purchase the full game though XBLA now anyway

I STILL PLAYED IT!) and still have games lying round somewhere, crazy tazi, grandia 2, phantasy star universe, and someother thing.... not sure what it is.. oh yeah sega genesis game ports, and a game that had a lot of games on it for some reason... i think they were originally arcade games

I saw one, but its in toronto. If you can, look on Craigs list. They have a shitload of stuff, so if you can, check em out.

By the way, I did see a Dreamcast where I live now (see profile). It was in a T.G.I Fridays and the dreamcast was mounted on a wall. As in, nailed there. I just stood gape jawed like, "what the fuck is this??". There was other stuff like that too. Old Xbox controllers, PSone Dualshock controllers, Centipede LED handhelds, and a Guitar hero controller.

EDIT: haven't seen a guitar hero controller actually. I mixed that up with a steering wheel for a PC. Oh btw, i also saw a N64 up there too.

There are only two games you need for that system: Soul Calibur and Virtua Tennis.

Seaman is also worth finding; a true original.

I love my Dreamcast.

and pick up Grandia 2, you won't regret it.

Other than that Shenmue, Sonic Adventure, and Virtua Tennis are some of my favorites.
