VGCats have a lot of 'hits' versus 'misses' of other comics. Seeing that they eventually update, I keep them on my list of web comics I visit.
I like explosm best since they have more hits than misses (my opinion), sometimes come out with flashes with are even better and have a daily update it seems.
Ctrl-Alt-Delete is good too. They switch from Ethan-stories and video-game parodies which mixes nicely for those "No good games came out recently" times instead of severe down-times without updating. I don't like that dumb chef guy who says and does random things. Incoherent.

I still read VGCats occasionally. Also, Ctrl Alt Del has always sucked.
Also, XKCD has gone massively downhill.

I still check the site about twice a month. I also agree that CAD isn't as funny anymore. I understand that he needs to put in more of a story to keep it going long term, but it's still lame. I've notice that transformation of Ethan is simmilar (but not nearly as much) to Peter Griffan in Family Guy. They both lost common sense to make it easier to write jokes about them being stupid. It went from dysfunctional, but believable to just dysfunctional.

However, as much as I miss the glory days of VGCats I wanna know what happened to Fanboys. I got a lot more laughs out of that comic.

I'll check every couple of weeks, but yeah, I've been pretty disappointed by its update schedule. I'd understand if Scott was just too busy or something to update, but he doesn't seem to busy to be at a convention practically every other week. I swear, sometimes it seems like the number of conventions VGCats goes to in a year is greater than the number of updates.

I love VGcats. Too bad Scott is so busy with other stuff...

Oh well, at least Omahadon over on youtube gives us these gems (there are at least 12 of these vids):

I read it. Or at least I would if the damn thing updated more often than once every fifty thousand eons so there would be something to read.

Yeah, of course I do- after all, "Updated Mondays".

Every month or so I'll pop back in and read me up some sweet ol' archived strips- good for the heart, they are. I'll always end up on some Super Effective, because reading pokemon stuff gets me into pokemon, which gets me out of web comics, see?

Yes. I do. I know that updates are few an far between, but quite a number of them are absolutely hilarious.

I used to read it. It was one of the better, funnier web comics. Just wish they updated it more often.

I pop into the site at least one per month. While it true they don't post at much as they used to be but they are not the worst. Example- there is this pokemon webcomic who the creator refuse to admit he is behind since his posting days are years ago!

I still love reading a few of my favorite VG Cats from time to time. And newer ones make me chuckle just a bit.

I still enjoy it, even if it's pretty hit and miss. I still prefer it over penny arcade (flame shield up)
I enjoyed this one since it's how I tended to play the game

I enjoy the ones that come every now and then, that fellow knows how to tickle my funny bone. And of course this one just brings a smile to my face for being so cute:

Edit: Just went back to the site and found a strip that is a fucking masterpiece!

That first one is rather adorable. :3

OT: I read them every time it updates which is... not often enough. It is one of my favorite comics though, some of the jokes are a bit meh but even then they are nice to look at, it love the art style.

I also read XKCD (Clever and funny), Cyanide and Happiness (Love dark humour), Brawl in the Family (Also a really cute art style) and Chuck and Beans (Ditto).

I can't say I care for many of the big ones like CAD or PA, both very rarely amuse me.

Here, have a Chuck and Beans:

agree with TC completely. Webcomics have taken a nosedive in the past 2 years. Anyone seen Electric Retard? Yes, webcomics can be THAT bad.

To answer the question, I've been reading VGCats for about 4-5 years, before it peaked. Now I do it out of habit tbh

I still read it, but it would be nice if Ramsoomair would put out strips a little more frequently. There's like a 6 week dead time in between them.

No, I went off of it when I read this:

Also the fact they make jokes that have been told before...and were actually funny before they decided to attempt it.
If I may ask, what did you not like about that one. I thought it was both true and hilarious.
While it has a degree of truth, it just screams "CHANGE IS BAD! FEAR IT! WE ARE TROO GAMERS AND YOU AREN'T!" Added to the fact it just reeks of snobbery that isn't needed.

Theres also an argument that these 'tough' games were only tough due to the technology used at the time, but thats a conversation for another time cause all i needed to do was explain why i didn't like it..and now i'm rambling.
