I did have a hunch that with all the plot twists the 1st episode might get some relevance to the rest of the story line.

Addressing the Big Pete; Well, considering Poker Night takes place after Mississippi Maggot Stew, and I think another episode coincided with the backtrack up-and-down linearity of the series, I accept that this is prequel to the very first episode.

However I... holy fuck, my mind. It is blown.

Why do I want to say Gulliver gets involved some more? We don't seem to lose many minor characters, they just develop. Impressive story structuring and dynamic character traits.

This show is amazing. My guess is that Big Pete still has some time to live, since everybody seems to have settled their disagreements and began to speak about their love for him.
These cliffhangers are crazy. It's like reading a Dan Brown book, but more entertaining.
