I have now heard them all, they should do an achievement for that.
EDIT: The purpose of this thread really isn't to discuss the meaning of the word "******" other than the fact that it is an insult (or at least used as in insult in the situations that I am referring to). I'm simply pointing out how at some point or another I have been insulted for using just about every gun in the game. So basically there is no gun that isn't cheap if I kill someone with it.
Moving beyond the semantics of the term they use I think it's not a matter of what they say to you but what people have ALWAYS said.
(seriously, the title of the thread is "why Homosexuality accusations", now it is "why insult for anything" you walked into that one)
Is it really a case that ALL the players are saying that? Or is it because you just have a minority of loud mouthed fools who will ***** and freak out however they get killed. The problem is XBox Live does NOTHING to discourage this behaviour, there is such poor policing of the network.
Steam has an interesting feature, you cannot send personal messages to another steam user unless you (a) are their "friend" and (b) you willingly open a chat with them. On XBL you can send an aggressive/insulting PM to anyone you play against. Also on PC it's quite easy to kick abusive or mic-spamming users.
Though I think it's worse than poor policing, PSN has as bad a policing but no where near as bad a problem. The thing with PS3 is there are a few steps of obfuscation to actually get to Mic-spamming, you have to buy a USB mic or Blutooth dongle separately that you have to admit aren't quite as easy to use as 360's setup. I haven't been on PSN in about a year but I did play it a lot when it was usually free of ALL chatter. This is a GOOD thing.
Because I think with XBL there reached a critical mass of trash talk that some trash talk spawned more trash talkers. People who would normally have kept their obscenities to themselves after being trash talked over and over they give in and trash talk back, and soon they're doing it to everyone.
And frankly, I'm GLAD that in-game chat is undersued on some systems, there are many reasons it should be banned completely:
-Ruins feel of the game with perfectly realised music, sound effects and voice acting then you have some squeaky crackly voice, even from an adult... I'd rather hear Marcus Fenix
-It is an unnecessary server/bandwidth load trying to deal with so many simultaneous audio streams with minimal latency. Also takes up system memory that would be better used for the games themselves
-It's a poor compensation for bad game design in team communication, teamwork communication should be more dynamic and in fitting with theme. Like why can't medic have a "wait for uber" and "Charge in and I'll uber at right moment" quick commands.
-Chat is just an unnecessary mental load while controlling so many other things
-party chat should be on a completely separate network, like play on XBL but cha via skype. Anyone can get skype, that is a WIDE a party-chat as possible.
If an XBL firmware update removed ALL support of voice communication... then nothing of value would be lost.
I at least expect an auto-mute every-player, in every-game... forever.
