It's because we love to learn useless shit about the things we dearly love, like our favorite cartoons, anime, manga, comic books, and films.Tootmania said:I don't mean to offend anyone or anything, but how does it suck y'all in so well? I think it's a personal thing. I'm a desperate knowledge seeker, so whenever I watch TV, I watch documentaries, I read about natural history and other stuff. Literature analysis. I guess that's why TVTropes appeals to me. It's super informative and there's a lot of analysis and whatnot there.Tootmania said:I don't mean to offend anyone or anything, but how does it suck ya'll in so well? I'd like to dispute that on the grounds of being a false-positive. Wikipedia is for the users and by the users, so it is not a haven for completely-factual data. Some things will corrolate and some things will be wonky dubious horseshit.RJ Dalton said:It's like Wikipedia. You have o be careful with it, but you can get a lot of good information out of it.
I actually can't get into TVTropes. I have done what you did on Wikipedia mind you, but I just don't see what all the TVTropes fuss is about. Never spent more than a few minutes on the site.RJ Dalton said:It's like Wikipedia. You have o be careful with it, but you can get a lot of good information out of it.
