IT's called a Wii.
Besides, WTH would you want apple to make any more new hardware??? Macs= overrated, overpriced crap and Ipad = oversized, WAY OVRHYPED ipod touch.
The ipod is the only decent thing they have. Thats all they should ever make.
It blows my mind that you are so bias and ignorant as to not look at current pricing and specs before posting such a useless reply.
Thats funny. I use macs everyday. I even work at Future Shop (A Canadian version of best-buy) and I deal with all types of computers. I know there specs and prices.
Ok, so here is just an example:
Sony Vaio: $1999 15.4" http://www.globalpc.co.nz/Notebooks/Sony-Vaio/Product-Specification-LP03228.aspx
Apple MBP $1999 13.3" http://store.apple.com/nz/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?mco=MTAyNTQzMzk
And remember that Apple use a more durable unibody aluminium casing which is obviously going to cost more in terms of production compared to the plastics of most most third party windows machines.
Also, the Mac unibody case is a heat sync. This means that the mac is virtually silent running - Most windows laptops still use traditional methods of cooling and are therefore, in comparison, loud.
In terms of overhyping a product, it's a marketing strategy that worked and they should be commended for it. It's a commonly used strategy in order to price skim. virtually all electronics and software developers use it to recover R&D costs on release because consumers are irrational. If you didn't understand that sentence, think of Xbox360/PS3. It's also only over hyped because the consumer (you) listens.
In terms of the iPad, I'm not a personal fan. But it's competing with notebooks... Which are heavier, larger and while they may be less versatile than a Dell or Leveno notebook, they sold their 1 millionth iPad in 28 days which shows there is a market for them.
Also, 'There' is in reference to a place.... Their is as in 'it's their product, they own it.'
