Gabriel was on the verge of answering Susan when Claudette and some other guy walked in from different doors. Giving a wave of "hello" to the former, he got up from the couch and moved to lean against a bench near the table, so he could continue talking to Susan, and possibly Claudette as well if the French girl joined in. "It's no problem 'bout the whole table thing. I'm used to at least having a plate and a surface on which to put it. But anyways... we might be doing the same courses. I plan on studying music as well; got a couple of guitars in my room, and I can accurately play and-or sing a few pieces from my preferred bands."

Taking another mouthful of water, Gabriel's mismatched eyes shifted to the stranger for a second or so, before he pulled out a chair opposite Claudette and asked, "May I?" Always the gentleman, Gabe, he mused to himself in the second he had before receiving a response from either of the two women.

"Ah, cool. It'd be fun to have the same courses as you. And we might even be able to help each other with some of the homework, assignments and such that we'll be given." Susan said, still with her smile on. He seemed nice enough, she thought, and when he asked if he could have a chair to sit on, that reinforced her opinion of him by a bit.

"Of course you can. Go ahead and sit down." she said, feeling a little cheerful for some reason. Perhaps it was because she was starting to get along with those people, though she hadn't known them for a long time. She finished her sandwich and drank a bit more of her Sprite. She held her hand over her mouth when she burped. "'Scuse me." she said and giggled.

"Ya I live pretty close by, I'm sure I'll need more stuff but my mom wants me to come home all the time anyways so I will have plenty of opportunities to gather more things. For right now however I'm sure I'll be fine with this stuff, clothes mostly." Tori carried the box toward the empty dresser near her bed, she began pulling various pieces of clothing out and neatly placing them inside the dresser, "So what are you taking Trisha? What are your plans for the next few years?"

Tori smiled as she pulled out a shot glass, she had gotten into some trouble in the past from drinking but it wasn't going to stop her from having any fun. Being careful was all she needed to do in the future, don't go all out as she had done in the past.

Trisha smiled being sure to look at Tori's style of clothing while she listened to her talking. Just getting a feel of the type of girl she was going to be living with, as she began to open up her next suitcase. Lining up all her skirts in style order and beginning to place them in drawers. Subconsciously she was making sure each line was straight cause she really didn't enjoy being too much of a mess especially with her clothes.

"I'm here studying Criminal Justice, most likely a minor in psychology to get a slightly better grip on human mind and human nature." She smiled reaching over and picking up her camera snapping a quick photo of Tori and setting it back down. "I may also look for a photography club or something along those lines." She walked over to her closet and looked at the length of it making sure it could fit all her blouses and business wear, nodding in approval she leaned out and looked over to Tori. "So what's a girl like you going to be studying here?"

With the message delivered Josh decided to go for a walk before the people would start to arrive. He wandered the halls getting a fews waves of from people he knew and a few various hellos from some of the female variety. He had to smile, he really loved college. This walk was interrupted by a female voice from one of the dorms; he knew that voice.

He knocked on the door, "Tori? Is that you my friend?"

"I've always loved kids and lately I think I would love to look into their minds a little better. I think I want to be a Elementary School counciller, help younger kids get through the troubles and trials of school. If that doesn't work out I could always be a kindergarten teacher, that would just be so great, teaching those little minds in their early years." Tori sighed and smiled, it truly did make her happy when she got to be around young and naive little children, they were all so happy, "Who knows though I could-"

Suddenly Tori heard a familiar voice, turning around she saw Josh and broadly smiled, running into him she gave him a large hug,

"Josh! You're coming here too?! It's been to long, how've you been?!"

"Tori, miss out on the best business school in country? You know I wouldn't go anywhere else," Joshua said smiling and returning the hug, "I assume Nate is going here as well," he said in a matter of factual way.

He then turned to Tori's, he would assume, roommate, "And my apologies," he said, holding out his hand, "Joshua Richardson, inheritent of the now dead Richardson Dynasty, though I have to say that it would have been hard to hold that one together," he said laughing, though the warmth of the laugh didn't quite reach his eyes.

He turned addressing them both, "So anyways there should be a message in your inbox about a party tonight before the rest head to the "dry party" I assume you're both coming?"

Trisha was actually enjoying listening to Tori talk about enjoying where her line of work could lead her. Though after a while she did think it was starting to fall a bit on the rambling side but judging from how she brought herself, it seemed like something that would have to take some getting used to. As she started to go in depth there was a knock at their door as it was just pried open. Trisha's eyes narrowed only for a moment before seeing that the man was indeed Tori's friend and decided to get back to her work, under the assumption that they knew each other. The thought crossed her mind that it was her roomies boyfriend but upon hearing 'It's been too long' that idea slow left.

She looked over and gave a casual wave to the man walking up and shaking his hand, "Trisha Price and it's no problem. It's good to run into a friend when going into a college this size." Hearing about the party her eyes caught wind of the green flyer on the floor and motioned towards it picking it up. "I assume you mean this party?"

"Indeed," Joshua said taking the flyer in his hand laughing as he looked at the print prohibiting the booze, "This isn't college without booze and as such we're going to party hard."

Tori smiled and shook her head, of course it was Josh who was planning a pre-party drunkfest, who else really?

"I should have known you were behind that Josh! Only Josh Richardson could start off the year with such a bang!" laughing Tori put her hand on Josh's shoulder, "So ya this is Trisha, guess I'm going to get to know her better over the next little while, have you got a roomie? Oh and yes Nate is coming here, in fact he should be here shortly..."

Trisha huffed slightly as she thought about the idea of a "dry party" though the party part of it intrigued her enough. "I'll definitely be there, should be a wonderful time to take a look at our peers, on and off the dance floor." She continued to let them have their moment picking up slightly on the back and forth of the name 'Nate'. She smiled internally as she thought for a brief moment.

Hmm...I could be wrong but it seems she is taken. That and it's a male she's taken by. Wonder how she'll feel after she figures out about me. She looks like the open minded and accepting type...still should be quite interesting.

She caught on to what Josh was saying looking up to him with a smile. "You say that like you've got a bit of a plan to remedy that, Josh."

"Cheers" replied Lance, giving Claudette, Gabriel and Susan a friendly smile as he walked from the door and took a seat near to the group, dragging it slightly closer to the others once he was seated.

"You can call me Lance, good to meet you all. What courses we all on?" he asked once he had gotten comfortable in his seat, settling into his more friendly, confident personality.

"Tori you know me, if I ain't making a party I'm not a happy guy," Joshua flashed a smile, "Nah the money I have really helped in making sure I ride solo, don't need a roommate."

"There's something you need to know about me," Josh said, putting his one arm around Tori's roommate, "I always wanna remedy the dry parties."

I think I need to establish termonology here since I think we had a mistake.

So we're clear

Dry party means no booze, wet parties have booze

"I'm studying music as well. I was actually lucky enough to get a piano scholarship." Claudette was happy to see that her roommates were also going to be studying music. They might have been studying different aspects of it, but it was still a wonderful coincidence.

She looked back to Lance and spoke. "So, what are you studying?"

"Oh wow, what a coincidence. So we're all three studying music, and we're all roommates." Susan gave a small giggle. "I'm only going to be studying singing, though. I'm not very talented with an instrument. I guess I could learn how to, but I should have thought of that earlier when I discovered how much music interested me." She had a thought and giggled again. "Perhaps we could start a small band." She giggled and waved her hand, as if you wave away the idea. "Only kidding, but it would still be interesting."

She turned to Lance with a smile. "Like Gabriel and Claudette, I'm going to be studying music. Always did interest me rather much. Oh, and before I forget, my name's Susan. Susan Garth. Just call me Susan. And what will you be studying, Lance?" She was never sure if her English accent was heard, but she rarely thought about it, just talked like she was used to by now.

"Me? I'm majoring in Psychology and minoring in Counseling, though Counseling is my main focus" replied Lance with a smile, a smile brought on by both the friendliness of the people he was faced with and the potential for surprised reactions that he usually got when he told people of his chosen academic pursuits and career choices, especially people that really knew him.

However, the smile also lingered for a third reason, one that he enjoyed bringing to light.

"Cool, so you guys are all kinda musicians? I play an instrument myself" he said slyly, his statement obviously meant to solicit the question 'what instrument do you play?', a question that Lance took nigh limitless joy in answering.

"Hmmm... so we've got a guitarist, a vocalist - possibly two if you count me - and a piano. Yeah, a band could be done. Just need a drummer," Gabriel said with a laugh. "Though a good drummer is difficult to find. Sure, there were a couple of guys back in high school who were masters of the art, but for all I know, they've probably moved to New Zealand or something," he joked.

Gabriel elected not to ask the question Lance expected; if he had something to say, then he should just say it. That was Gabriel's way of thinking. Besides, it made for more intelligent conversation, he figured.

"And he does a good job of it, too. Usually."

A tall figure leaned in the doorway, a slight grin painted across his face. Dressed simply and comfortably- a pair of jeans and a rather plain green shirt- the relaxedness of his smile radiated ease. Stepping over the hazardously placed boxes around the room, he entered and strode over to Tori, slipping an arm around her waist.

"Making friends already, Tori?" He nodded to Josh before his gaze drifted toward the girl he didn't know.

She was pretty, for sure. Stunning, even, really- so who did she belong to? Josh would have told him if he'd gotten a girlfriend.

"I'm Nate," he introduced himself to the other girl with a wider flash of a smile and a quick wink of a chocolate-coloured eye.

Nate, you son of a ***** you," Josh said punching him lightly in the shoulder, "You need to tell me next time you guys are going to the same college as me, you two lovebirds you," he allowed the fact that Lyla wasn't here remain unsaid amongst them, "Anyways if you're referring to the party where you went and got your ass kicked, in my defence, I wasn't hosting that one," he laughed a little.

"Well, I took some voice lessons when I was younger, but stopped because I just wanted to focus on playing the piano. But playing together would be nice", Claudette said. Back at home she was really the only one of her friends who played an instrument, so this was definitely a nice change of pace.

Catching Lance's not so subtle hint, Claudette turned to him and smiled. "So, what instrument do you play?"
