"Sure, I'll go with you. Sounds like a nice way to meet this year's batch of freshmen." Micah nodded when his room-mate invited him to go with her to the party. Micah then got a chain text message from one of his friends, telling about a party that had alcohol.

"Hey, if you want, there's a party where you can drink in one of the dorms on campus." Micah told Kiska. "You wanna go have a little meet'n'greet where you can get a little drink on?"

Connor graciously accepted the alcohol and carried it over to the counter. He set the glasses down, then opened the bottle and filled them up with the thick liquor. He picked them up and held one out to Anya, catching a whiff of mint from his glass.

"Cheers." he said as she took the glass, lifting his and then downing it. He let out a sharp breath, then licked his lips. "Never tried that one before."

Kiska looked at her phone and saw that she'd received the same message. "I have the same message here. Nobody here has my number, but I still got it. Weird." She shrugged and put the phone back in her pocket.
Truth be told, I've never really had any alcohol before. I'd just watch the people get drunk and do stupid things. But if you'd rather go to that one, I'm all for it. Who knows, I may have my first alcoholic drink there." She thought about it for a little while, and smiled. "That's one of the main things of college, right?"

Trisha looked over the three old friends seeing that the new entry, Nate, seemed to be close to Tori, very close. Trisha returned the smile while the gears in her head still turned. Nate and Tori most likely together means Nate is off limits for most if not any types of empty come-ons or flirtatious behavior. Once again my main thing for now is making sure I've got a good relationship with her so I don't have to deal with problems on campus and in my own room.

"Well then nice to meet you Nate, my name is Trisha. I think it's safe to say you are my roommates boyfriend, correct?"

Susan giggled a little because of their responses. She'd only been joking, but now when she thought about it, it could actually be possible for them to start a small band. "Well, we could also have Claudette on the piano, while me and Gabriel sing together." she said to them, getting a small gleam of excitement in her eyes. ...Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. But whatever. I'm having fun here! "Piano and guitar might be an interesting combo. And well, yeah, a drummer wouldn't hurt to have. Stop me if I'm going too fast here or getting ahead of myself." She was blushing a little, and smiling a silly smile. She didn't now what had come over her. Well, she never really had problems with talking to other people, so she was only acting naturally.

"Indeed it is, my dear girl." Micah answered Kiska enthusiastically. "College is about finding yourself, and learning by mistakes. Just don't party too hard, and you'll be fine. I usually don't drink too much, so I'll be there to drive you home if get piss-drunk."

Micah smiled and finished unloading all of the food into the fridge and pantry, glad to finally have some shopping done, and glad that they had plans for the evening. It was still fairly early in the afternoon, so they had some time to talk before heading off to any party.

"So, Kiska. Just gonna lay down a few ground rules." Micah wanted to get these out of the way, just so they'd get along without much hassle. "Don't smoke in the apartment, pot or cigarettes, and if you're gonna have a guy over, try to give me some notice. If you can't give me a heads-up, just hang a pair of socks over your doorknob. I'll be sure to do the same for you. Sound fair?"

"I don't plan on going too crazy if I do end up drinking. I think I would be one of those touchy-feely-I-love-you drunks. And in an area full of strangers, that's not a state of mind I want to be in... But I appreciate the concern."
She listened to the rules Micah set, and laughed a little, "Does that mean I can't use my bong collection? Just kidding, my friend; I don't smoke anything. And as for guys coming in here, I'm not too good at the whole romance thing, so you probably won't have to worry about that either. Don't worry, Micah." She smiled, "I'll be a good girl."

"It's better when I have my other mixing liquor with it," Anya admitted after she had downed the green shot in time with Connor. "Tastes just like a peppermint patty. I'll have to grab some on a later date. Have a little frosh week shopping spree going with my work money."

She was referring to the money she had saved up working at Home Outfitters during the past year. She managed to keep her parents out of her financial affairs and she had a fair bit of cash in there. They had to pay that much to keep her at the place. It was all junk they sold, and who pays $130.00 for pots and pans? But it was worth it now and with all the scholarships she had, it would be purely for her. And any others she wished to share with...

"I can even pick up a couple of bottles for you if you want, Connor, if you have any preferences."

Again, this is assuming that the drinking age is still 18, like it was in the prior RP

"You don't have to be a good girl... Just don't do anything that'll keep you from paying your share of the rent and utilities." Micah said slightly jokingly. "And you never know, you might meet someone you really like. You meet all sorts of people in College. But don't worry, if I bring a guy or a girl over, I'll be sure to give you the same courtesy I ask of you."

Micah smiled and opened his arms, offering a hug to his new room-mate, and hopefully new friend.

"Hug?" Micah asked somewhat cutely.

Kiska saw Micah open his arms for a hug, and she wrapped her arms around him. Wow. I think I'm going to enjoy being here. Micah seems like a pretty great guy.

"I would hate to do that to you. I wouldn't want to be kicked out of this place, it seems nice. And I might find someone, I might not. But it would be very awkward to walk in on either of us in that sort of position." She thought about that last sentence, "I...I think that the word 'position' wasn't the right one to use...I mean, I didn't mean it like...Oh, проклинать(damn)..." She felt her face start heating up, and decided to quickly change the subject. "So, uh, Micah, that party doesn't start for a while. Do you have anything in mind to pass the time?"

Micah giggled a bit at her frustration, smiling as she blushed. He found it adorable when people blushed out of embarrassment, it was just endearing to him.

"No problem, Kiska. And, I think the word you wanted to use was 'situation' perhaps?" Micah suggested a less innuendo-inducing word. "It's quite alright. Don't worry about it."

Micah smiled softly as he let her out of the hug, letting out another small giggle as her face was still red.

"I dunno, I guess I could make lunch, like I offered earlier. Are you hungry?" Micah asked his room-mate.

"Right...Situation...I'm sorry. I forget words some times." She let go of Micah, and took a deep breath. She shoved her hands in her coat pocket. Stupid, Kiska. That was stupid to say.

"Oh, right. I forgot about lunch. That sounds great. Are we going to make something, or do you know any good restaurants? I don't really know my way around here."

Tori smiled when she heard Nate's voice, soon his hand was around her waist and he was introducing himself to Trisha. Tori put her own hand around Nate's waste and pecked him on the cheek,

"Yep he's all mine." she smiled at Trisha, answering the question she had asked Nate, "Have you found your room yet Nate? How's your roomy?"

"I can make something." Micah said with a smile. "I can cook pretty well, and I figure what better way to christen the new kitchen than to cook something nice and tasty for lunch? So, do you have anything in mind that you might want?"

She seems like a nice girl. I think we'll be getting along quite well.

A slight frown found its way onto his bright face, and he shook his head. "No, not yet. He's probably not a morning person- I got moved in pretty early today. Had to pick up jerseys and stuff."

He failed to notice as the hand wrapped around Tori began automatically stroking her tummy with his rough fingers, and looked back to Josh. "Got in on a sports scholarship, thank-you-very-much. Taking soccer balls to the face every day at six AM does have some benefit I guess."

"That sounds like a lovely way to christen the kitchen! And I'm okay with anything made, really. I leave the decision up to you." She took off her coat, and draped it over a chair.
"I don't want my coat to get getting messy if we cook something. And I must tell you, I am not good at cooking. The last time I tried boiling water, it didn't start steaming, it smoked." She laughed at the memory, "How I did that, I don't know. But my mother banned me from cooking when it happened."

Lance smiled when Claudette asked the question he was waiting for, turning so he was facing her more fully since the other two in the room didn't seem to be that interested, not that he really minded now.

"Well, you'll love this, I play the Banjo" he finally announced, his smile broadening even wider.

Mark gave a sigh. He'd finished his copy of The Times, and was now drinking his third glass of coke. He looked quickly at his watch, and placed his head in his hands.

Am I early? Or has everyone went to do something else? Damn it... I knew this was a bad idea.

He leant back in his seat, and began staring at the ceiling.

"Ahh, you just get what you want." Connor said politely, "I can get my own booze if there's something I want."

He paused for a moment as he considered what kinds of alcohol he liked. There wasn't really anything in particular that sprang to mind, he just tended to take whatever was available. By the time he thought to ask what he was drinking was usually too far-gone to remember anyway.

"Hmm, maybe I'll join you on that shopping spree when you go. I'm sure it won't be hard to hide drinks at all, we can stock up." He took the shot glass back from her and gave it a rinse-and-wipe in the sink, then put them back in the box he got them from.

"I'll keep that in mind, then." Micah said with a smile at Kiska's comment about scorching water. He giggled a bit at the thought that anyone could be that inept in the kitchen, but then he remembered back to his High School Gourmet Foods class, and how bad some people were when they first started. "Tell you what: I'll cook, and you can do the dishes. Does that sound like a fair deal?"

Micah began getting out a few things to start cooking: a heavy 9-inch skillet; a large cooking pot; and some ingredients to get started. He opened the refrigerator, and pulled a small package of sausages, six of them lined up in a row.

"How are you with lamb?" Micah asked Kiska her opinion on the meat. "Some people don't like it, but I know a good dish that's pretty easy to make. I can use pork if you're not too keen on eating a baby sheep, or if you don't like the flavor of lamb."
