Tori brushed her hair in the bathroom mirror, she was almost ready to go and experience her first day of school. A smile spread across her face as the 'inspirational' message playing throughout the campus continued, sure it was cheesy but it was a nice thought to try and spur the student body's minds and hearts. They weren't fooling anyone though, it wasn't working.

Putting on her orange rimmed shades, she slipped her bag/purse over her shoulder and walked out the door. She wore a pair of skinny jeans and a bright t-shirt, being sunny and temperate outside, she needed to wear no more than that. Sending Nate a quick good morning text, she hummed a happy tune as she made her way toward the middle of the campus; having no class today she was intending on spending a large part of the day in the central courtyard. Hopefully she could find a bench to sit on and meet some new people.

Susan gave a small chuckle before Gabriel mentioned going out to shop for food. "Oh, I thought I had bought a few things yesterday? Besides some Sprite and sandwiches. Let me check on it." She stood up from her chair and looked inside the fridge. "Ah. There we go." She pulled out a package of bacon and some eggs. "You just sit down, Gabe, and let me handle the breakfast. If you still want to go shopping later, that's alright."

She searched the cabinets for a pan and found one. She looked into the fridge again and pulled out some butter to put on the pan. She turned the oven on and looked for two dishes to put the bacon and the eggs on. Once the pan was hot enough, and the butter had melted, she put the bacon on and watched as it began to cook. After a while, the bacon was ready and Susan put it on one of the dishes. Then she moved onto the eggs once she had made enough bacon for them three. She put three eggs on the pan and let them cook on one side. Once they were ready, she put them on the other dish. She turned the oven off and placed the pan under the kitchen sink tab. She turned the water on for a short while, steam coming from the pan, then turned it off when enough water was in the pan. She put it back onto the oven, where the pan had previously been, and put the handle of the pan so it faced towards the wall. She grabbed three dishes, placing one in front of Claudette, one at the opposite chair from her, and one beside Claudette's. Then she fetched three forks and three knives, putting a fork and knife on each dish, then placed the two dishes with the eggs and bacon onto the table. "There you go. A part of an English breakfast. Eat up. Wouldn't want to be hungry while we're in class." She sat down beside Claudette, put one egg and a few pieces of bacon on her own dish, and started to eat.
Please forgive me if I don't exactly know what an English breakfast is. Or at least a part of it. I've always been lead to believe it involves at least eggs and bacon.

"There's a really nice bakery just across from the North Gate of campus." Micah explained to Connor and Anya. "They've got the best cinnamon rolls for miles around, and their doughnuts are shaped like triangles, which is kinda neat. Coffee's not bad either, but it's right next to a Starbucks if that's more your taste."

Micah finished his orange juice in a few gulps, rinsing the glass and putting in the sink, and he walked back over and hung his arms around Connor's neck playfully.

"Oh, I'll definitely be back, Connor." Micah said with a little giggle. "So long as Anya doesn't mind... Of course, if she's jealous, I'd be more than happy to level the scores between you two."

The blond Sophomore chuckled softly, winking in Anya's direction as he leaned against the back of the couch, watching whatever was playing at the moment.

Anya caught the wink from Connor's guest. Is he serious about going both ways? ....Nah, couldn't be? Could he? Well I dunno, maybe I'll have to work on him a bit next time he's over.

"Haha, well the year did just start. But, yeah, if you know the place, I'm more than willing to trust you. I only know Chicago, so it's all you. Just let me change. Don't need to be going out like this, you know?"

Anya dashed back into her bedroom to properly change for the trip out.

Josh walked out of the lecture hall after a short hour and a half lecture. He had the lecture on tape and had finished his notes just as the professor finished his speech. It had been a solid good first class, nothing spectacular but enough to convince him he was going to enjoy the classes.

He wandered into the library to look up the rest of his schedule and check out a book that the prof had advised them looking into. His head was already starting to hurt less and he could look at a light without his sunglasses so he removed them as he stepped through the shelves. He saw a couple people from the party last night and his eyes narrowed as he saw the spoilsport. His lips curled into a grin and he slid into the seat beside him, "So champ, hell of a party last night wasn't it?"

Gabriel took the seat at the table opposite Susan; it was implied, as she had set his plate there. Without further ado he commandeered a helping for himself and dug in; fried eggs weren't usually the way he did them himself, but they tasted good and were perfectly done, as was the bacon. Maybe he wasn't the only talented cook in the room.

"Hmm... that was pretty good," he noted a couple of minutes later, having eaten a little faster than the girls. "Though I'll have to show both of you the extent of my own cooking abilities sometime, if you'd like. I brought my collection of cookbooks with me, and I know a fair few of the better recipes in them."

Mark grunted, slowly looking up from his book, to the man. He remembered his face, and suddenly felt a slight sinking feeling as he returned his glance to his book. He silently read another paragraph before speaking.

"I don't know the standards to put parties under, so I really don't know."

Why does he want to talk to me? He's irritating, foolish, flamboyant, and an obvious dick.

He gave a small wince as a thought crossed his mind.

By God... Is he a homosexual? Oh... Damn it all to hell.

Josh continued to talk, aware that he was annoying him but refusing to stop anyways, the guy had to stop taking himself too seriously, it was neither helthy, nor fun, "Well we'll have to change that won't we? I mean c'mon you barely did anything at my last party, where was the drinking, the dancing with ladies? C'mon man haven't you heard that college is supposed to be the best years of your life. Live a little mate."

He chuckled and slapped the guy lightly on the shoulder, "We'll just have to make sure that you start coming out more is all."

Oh my God, that last post of yours was awesome CC, keep at it

The smells were overwhelming, there was something about this morning that just smelt fantastic. Perhaps it was just the September air, the freshly cut grass or the light drizzle from the previous night, whatever it gave Tori a sense of bliss.

Exhaling, she leaned her head back and let it rest on the top of the bench's backrest, staring up into the sky she noted that there was barely a cloud in the sky. Her shades darkened the view but she could still appreciate the simple beauty of the endless sky.

"Ahem. Hey I'm Matt."

Jerking her head back to it's proper position she smiled at the guy she was being greeted by, shoulder length blonde hair, ripped jeans, a white v-neck and no shoes. Seems like the kind of guy who rarely wears a shirt and enjoys a riveting hacky-sack session.

"Oh hello! I'm Tori, how're you this morning Matt?"

Seems like a nice enough guy, probably has other intentions but you never know

Mark gave a grunt, resuming his tentative reading of his book. He winced as the oaf hit him on the back.

Oh no... He's making contact...

"My only concern is getting my course done. Everything else is irrelevant. If I wanted to get drunk, break my nose, and end up in bed with an orange human who smells like a ham sandwich, I'd go to a strip club."

Oh god, that ham sandwich quip was awful... And if he's gay, he won't do strip clubs...

"...Or whatever you class as fun, anyway."

Mark gave a grunt as he attempted to resume reading his Hayek. He resumed speaking in his droll monotone as he analysed the contents.

"University is for learning. I didn't fork out this much money to destroy my liver."

xD This whole thing is turning out to be some really elaborate comedy.

"Well then you can save the orange ones for me mate," he said laughing quietly, "But wait, you're one of them...the ones who actually work to get the money here. I respect you bud, you're not the scholarship kid or the rich kid, you're the working kid."

Josh was actually being serious with that, this wasn't a cheap college and he had gotten in easy because of his money, "Well mate, if you're looking to destroy your liver on the cheap, look me up...better yet, just ask someone about me, I'll likely find out that way."

Mark turned his head to Josh, and gave a slow nod and a grunt as he briefly raised his brow as he returned his gaze to the book.

He's trying to seduce me now, perfect. Gotta get away.

"Hrmph... Thanks. I've got to go."

Mark sternly, silently, and awkwardly packed his books into his bag, and nodded at Josh as he briskly began to stride away, heading towards the dorm block.

Claudette followed Gabriel's example and served herself some food. Normally Claudette just ate cereal for breakfast, so eating a warm breakfast was definitely a nice change of pace.

"Wow, this is amazing, Susan. Thank you for making it. I can't cook.. at all. All I can really do is play the piano."

"Alright, sounds like a plan to me." Connor said, smiling as Micah hugged him from behind. He chuckled and raised an eyebrow at the comment about 'evening the score'. It wasn't so strange to think that Micah was bi, but he wasn't sure if he should take his guest seriously or not. Micah seemed to be pretty sex-driven from how quickly he'd come onto Connor the night before.

Of course, he could say the same about me. Connor told himself, catching himself before making assumptions. Would I even mind if he went after my roomie? Would that make us a menage-et-trois? No, I'm gay. That wouldn't work.

Connor zipped his hoodie up and started lacing up his shoes as Anya left to change. He glanced up at Micah and smiled, but couldn't really think of something to say. He was watching TV anyway, so it didn't seem like a big deal to stay quiet.

Anya quickly searched her meager wardrobe for something appropriate to wear. Fuck. I didn't think I was going to be entertaining before class! Damn! But still I could use the action. He may be more into Connor, but if word gets out I turned a "gay" guy back onto girls? That can only help me out on the social scene, right? She kept searching before settling on a pair of tight black jeans and a blank green tank top. She looked at herself in the mirror for a moment before quickly brushing her hair down. No time to put it up or anything, the other guys would be wanting food immediately. All right, eyeliner...mascara...OK, good enough for breakfast!

She came out of her room to greet the other two. "All right! I'm ready to go!"

Josh looked confused at the guy's random departure. Ah well there was no reasoning with some people, they were just meant to be stuck up their wholes lives. It reminded him of his father; but there wasn't a whole lot he could do now, he decided to head back to his room and play some rock.

As he closed the door to his dorm, he made a note to leave it slight ajar, any visitors were welcome, especially if it were a lady or something. He turned up the amp and started with a basic tune, moving into a quick solo to warm up. He usually preferred to play something with a message, like something from Avenged Sevenfold or Alesana, but today he just wanted something shallow and fun to play. He decided on Pornstar Dancing and began to play, enjoying the heavy music pumping the air around him.

"You know... I'm great! Nice day huh? Mind if I sit down?" Tori smiled and gestured toward the empty side of the bench, Matt returned the and sat down beside her. He silently looked around the campus before opening his mouth, "First year here right? I think I would have remembered your face if I'd seen you before."

Ahh there it is. That was quick

"You are quite right Matt, this is indeed my first year. Any advice for a newbie like me?"

"Hm... well I could show you around if you like."

Nodding, Tori smiled and stood up,

"Lead the way."

Susan finished eating her breakfast and placed the fork and knife on the dish. "Thanks, you two. I don't know how to cook or prepare much myself, but I do know how to make eggs and bacon." She smiled towards them both. "Oh, I would love to see your cooking." she said to Gabriel. "Maybe I could learn a thing or two from you." She giggled a little.

Gabriel blushed a little at Susan's comment, saying, "Well, I suppose... I always have the cookbooks on hand in case I accidentally measure an amount inaccurately. I've never taught anyone else how to cook, so... you'd be working more from the book than my instruction. And you seem to be competent in the kitchen yourself, as far as I've seen." He flashed Susan a quick smile as he reached over to take her plate, rinsing it under the tap in addition to his own before setting them on one side of the sink.

"I don't know if we have any dishwashing liquid..." Gabe mused, looking in the cabinet under the sink. The majority of it was empty, apart from a scrubbing brush and a rack for dishes. Gabe assumed they were standard issue. "Nope, we don't. I'll pick some up later." Now that breakfast was over, Gabriel's usual morning schedule dictated that a shower was in order before going out. He turned to the girls and added, "Um, I'm gonna hit the shower, if neither of you want it first. I'll only use about five minutes of hot water, maybe ten at most."

Claudette finished her breakfast, rising from her seat at the table and placing her dishes in the sink. She quickly glanced at the clock, frowning when she realized that her first class started in twenty minutes.

"I'll pick up some cleaning supplies when I head to the store later today. I still need to buy a few things anyways. Do you guys need anything?"
