"Oh, that's alright. I wouldn't mind learning it either from a book or you. You can at the very least help me so I won't do something wrong. I know a little bit of cooking, but not much. Oh and, go ahead. I can take a shower after you." Susan told Gabriel and stood up.

Thinking over what she needed to do, she thought she'd start by looking at her time table. "I don't really need anything, no. Thanks for asking." she told Claudette. "Hmm. One moment, guys." She headed to her room and looked for her time table. Didn't take her long to find it. She looked over it. She had a class that was about to start. "Damn. No time for a shower. Oh, well. I took one yesterday, and I can take one once school is done today."

She headed back to the kitchen. "Well, it seems like I don't have time for a shower, since I have a class in a few minutes. Oh well. It's not a big loss for me if I don't shower before entering the school." She headed towards the front door of their residence and put on her coat and shoes, ready to go.

"Um, no, I'm good. I'll make a trip to the places I need to go myself," Gabriel answered Claudette before turning to Susan. "Alright, cool. Just checking. Um... I'll be out of the shower in a bit." With that he gave Susan a quick smile and returned to his own room, thinking over why he had smiled at her - but dismissing it as a friendly gesture - as he gathered his necessaries for the bathroom.

Towel draped over one shoulder and a small bag in hand a couple of minutes later, Gabe returned to the lounge, quickly making his way to the bathroom. From there he locked the door behind him, as he always did when using the bathroom, and quickly and efficiently set out his towel, soap and other products which he used frequently.

The shower water heated up pretty quickly, a good sign for the three residents of the apartment. Gabriel had little time to appreciate this, however, as he wanted to keep his own use to a minimum in case he was the reason Susan or Claudette suddenly got a cold shower halfway through washing their hair or something. With that in mind, he got into the shower cubicle and started washing himself off as soon as he felt a change in the water's temperature.

"Well, alright then. I better get going before I'm late for class. I'll see you all when I get home later."

Claudette said her goodbyes to her roommates and walked back into her room, grabbing her backpack before walking out of the front door. She slowly made her way to her first class, arriving about five minutes early.

I'll wait for Lambi to post, who is in turn relying on ae86 to confirm what has been said in the group chat. Once Lambi has posted, I can have Gabriel meet up with Tori for a bit more interaction between characters.

Micah smiled at the two roommates, giving a light wink and waiting as they left and locked the apartment. He shook his head, wincing a bit in the light, and walked with the pair towards the exit of campus, taking a short walk towards the cafe.

"Like I said, best baked goods within miles, and great coffee too." Micah said with a smile as he walked in the doors. "Hey guys, how're ya doing?"

Micah smiled and greeted the staff there warmly, and took a deep breath of the sweet, yeasty aroma.

"Mmm... smells fantastic. Go ahead and get something, guys."

Susan waved and said goodbye to Gabriel, and Claudette who had left before her, and walked out of the residence and out to the streets. She stretched a bit before walking towards the school. It wasn't that far away. She just had to find the classroom. She managed to eventually find it, and she had a couple of extra minutes before the class started. When she entered the classroom, she looked over it to find an empty seat, and noticed Claudette. She walked over to her and smiled to her. "I didn't know you were taking this subject too." She sat down beside her and made herself ready for the lesson.

Gabriel took about as much time in the shower as he had first guessed: while he didn't have a timer to alert him to how long he had spent under the hot water, nor did he wear his watch while taking a shower, he checked the latter when he stepped out. Seven minutes, thirty-three seconds. Gabriel noted the time absent-mindedly as he dried off. Redressing and checking his overall appearance in the slightly clouded mirror, he poked his head round the bathroom door to find...

"Huh. No sign of the girls. Must have left for their classes... Guess that means I've got the morning to myself then," he mused aloud, stepping out and returning to his room. "May as well go check out the place, see where things are, what's what and all that." Gabe quickly gathered the few items he took everywhere: his wallet, phone and keys were the three most important things.

With that he checked all the windows, making sure they were closed - one could never be too careful - left the apartment and locked the door behind him. Returning his keys to his pocket, Gabriel walked out of the building and into the morning sunlight with a smile. The college was only a short distance away: there was no need to take the moped.

As he walked onto the campus, Gabriel was a bit astounded by the number of people he saw just in this one area: men and women of all ages, carrying textbooks or packs, walking in groups between their multitudinous destinations. They all seemed to be friends with one another, or at least, there was no visible hostility. Perhaps that was because the college wasn't bound by the rules and regulations of high-school life. Rather, it was the law itself that mattered more. At least, as far as Gabe figured. Still, it was an awe-inspiring sight.

Content - for the moment - with watching the people on campus go about their business, he took a seat on a nearby bench. Touring the pace could wait a bit, once he had collected himself and built up his confidence to walk among the rest of the students.

"Hello, Susan. I didn't know that you were taking this class either, but I'm glad that you are. It'll make things a little bit easier." Claudette said happily. It really was a pleasant surprise that Susan had this class at the same time as her. She was glad that she and her roommates had such similar interest. They'd most likely be sharing a few classes together.

Eventually the rest of the students walked into the class and took their seats. Afterwards the teacher walked into the classroom as well and wrote his name on the whiteboard.

"My name is Mr. Wyner, welcome to Music Theory 1."

Connor couldn't help but smile as he took in the scent of the bakery. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been into a place like this for breakfast that wasn't Starbucks or something. They always reeked of pretentiousness, so he didn't usually go unless he wanted a coffee really badly. But this place was nice, it felt welcoming and comfortable.

"Hi there." he said as he approached the counter. The person across the register nodded politely, but Connor was more focused on the food arranged behind him. "Could I get a small coffee and two english muffins?"

He pulled out his wallet as the cost was rung up. It ended up being just under five dollars for it all, which was perfect since a five-dollar bill was all he had with him. He pulled it out and set it on the counter while his order was put on a tray.

"Do you two want to stick around or eat-and-walk?" he asked Anya and Micah, turning to face them.

"I can stay for a bit, if you guys want. I don't have my first class until after lunch so I'll be here for a little," Anya said as she waited in line to order. It was a brief wait, the line was really moving. Anya checked her pocket change. She didn't have much on her. "Uh, I guess I'll get a small coffee...and a sesame seed bagel, with butter." It didn't take too long to prepare and she gave what coins she had to the barista. It turned out to just cover it. Whew. "Thanks!" she told the employee as she grabbed her breakfast. She hurried back over to where Micah and Connor were standing. "OK, like I said, whatever you guys want to do, I can do."

"That was a great tour Matt, I thank you very much."

After about a 15 minute tour Tori had genuinely gotten a better grasp of the layout of the college, Matt seemed like a nice guy who had clean enough intentions. Probably just looking for a girlfriend he didn't seem to scummy,

"Hey no problem Tori, glad I could help. Maybe... if you aren't doing anything on Friday would you like to have dinner with me?"

Tori's face twisted into a rather awkward frown,

"Sorry Matt, you seem like a nice guy but I'm actually seeing someone right now. You seem like a nice guy though and I'm sorry if I led you on."

Nodding in defeat Matt lightly sighed,

"No worries, but if you're ever free, give me a call."

Slipping Tori a piece of paper he walked away, rolling her eyes Tori crumpled the paper up and threw it in the nearest garbage can. Chuckling to herself, she though of Nate as she headed back to the bench where she sat earlier. He would like this story for sure.

After an hour of playing, Josh's hands were finally starting to feel it. Turning off the amp; to the relief of many, he was sure, he set his guitar down on its stand and stood up; he needed to find something to do; only one of his classes went today and two were tomorrow, so now; he was stuck doing nothing until someone or something came up.

He turned his phone on to see if he had any of his new friend's numbers; he was in luck he had them all. He composed a rough text addressed to all of them

Gabriel paused in his observations as he heard two people talking. One seemed to be thanking the other for... a tour? Perhaps she was new to Harbour College, like himself. The girl turned and began walking his way; she seemed to only notice him when she got closer to the bench. Gabe thought that perhaps he had an opportunity to make a new friend here; connections were important.

"Um, hi there," he said once the girl got a bit closer to him. "I overheard your conversation with that guy over there, are you new here as well?"

"Oh hello. Yes this is my first year here, straight out of high school. How about you? Any tips for me?" sitting down on the bench Tori put her sunglasses back on her head, "I'm Tori."

Tori assumed this guy had the same intentions as the last, but she wasn't one to judge someone before she got to know them. She always gave new people the benefit of the doubt.

"Nah, I've got nothing. Just moved into an apartment with two others yesterday," Gabriel answered. "I'm Gabriel Nayl, friends call me Gabe. I was originally planning to walk around campus this morning, 'cause I don't have a class right now, but... when I saw everyone walking around in just this small area, it kinda gave the impression that it was bigger than I'd expected, y'know?"

Tori seemed like a nice person, considering the first impression Gabe had gotten; perhaps he would befriend her quickly. At least, she hadn't ignored him and passed by when he spoke to her.

"Well nice to meet you Gabe, if you want a walking partner, I'd gladly join you. I just got a brief tour, but as you said its a very large college and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface." crossing her legs, Tori smiled at Gabe, "My boyfriend has class all day so I've got nothing to do."

Tori slipped in the boyfriend comment so she didn't lead Gabe on like the last guy.

"I see," Gabriel mused with a nod of understanding. So Tori was already in a relationship. He was surprised that her connection to the lucky guy she was dating had lasted through high school. Almost all romantic relationships - at least, those between people whom Gabe knew and recognised - were tested under the strain of teenage life, and most snapped like a branch underfoot, never to be repaired.

"So, um... you may have already been asked this, and if so I apologise, but what brought you to this college in particular? Which courses are you taking?" he asked, to fill the silence and make a bit of conversation at the same time.

"Well I mean this is the closest college to where I live and it's actually pretty great. It's nice to escape home but not be too far away, my mom would die if I moved anywhere far away." chuckling, Tori though of her mother, honestly doubting her mom being able to cope with her moving away, "As for my courses, I'm taking child pyscology and teaching. Hoping to be a school councillor or something along those lines. How about you?"
