I am already aware of Black Manta being a genocidal maniac and Mysterio being a total joke.

But really what are trying to tell me, to not make pointless shots at Marvel in a vain attempt to defend DC?

That's just me man, and I already explained to you the reason why.
You realise admitting you're being petty and spiteful for no real reason isn't a positive, yes? Like, the original post you brought up the Mysterio comment for wasn't even criticising the film, undeadsuitor was saying how much they loved the look. When people say "hah, I love this!" and you respond with "Yeah well its better compared to this thing which sucks!" you don't look like the good guy, you know?

5 fucking years of me enduring the shit talking of DC movies will do that to you.

And mind you Aquaman looks badass, but Shazam is just fucking cringe, and Titans, not what I wanted exactly, but mildly curious how they are gonna go with said direction, so I will only be watching it through youtube clips.

But really the kind of Superhero movies I want is a Kingdom Come adaption, or pretty much any comic book that had Alex Ross' art like Justice and Superman Peace on Earth.

And can we PLEASE have pure and true orchestral scores in Superhero movies already?! Whatever happened to this:

Bro, you do realize Kingdom Come was all about going back to the good old days of Superheroes? Where there were no edgy heroes or antiheroes? It's a commentary on all the edgy 90's comics.

I have long since come to terms with it. Ever since Man of Steel I have been petty when it come to Superheroes because my interests are not the interest of what is popular.

Infinite Crisis also made that a central plot point with Golden Age Superman wanting to reset the Multiverse back in the Golden Age, only to sadly conclude that the Golden Age will never come back.

I know, but I'm saying is Kingdom Come is actually the opposite of what you seem to want because you like edgy grimdark nonsense.

And thus the Marvelization of DC in Movie theater is complete, if Shazam looked like Deadpool, this looks like Black Panther.

But Shazam is nothing like Deadpool at all though.

Though yeah, the plot of this is so derivative of that film. Wish they stuck with Black Manta as the villain instead of Ocean Master. Hope the effects look better in the film because I thought they look poor in this trailer.

I just want Superheroes stories solely for adults. I have outgrown Superheroes as kid's stuff. The Alan Moore/Frank Miller era forever seduced me to the potential of Superhero stories being more than Kid's stuff. And things like Kingdom Come and Infinite Crisis and Flashpoint and Injustice is exactly what I want.

Is it just me or is the CGI really weird looking in a lot of places? Like, it is obviously CGI but it is not obvious or stylistic enough that you can claim it as some sort of stylistic choice to harken back to the comics. Just look at that shark in the Aquarium sequence, it is so obviously CGI that it makes me think of budget B action movies from the late 90's, not a massive blockbuster from the late 10's.

It's probably because, like Black Panther, so much of the background and other shots are entirely CGI that...well...the funding well has to run dry at some point.
Nothing should run dry in an Aquaman movie.

I too would like that. But I would like an adult superhero story to be done well, and what has been presented so far is a child's version of what an adult story should be. Its just throwing in some blood and violence and swearing and think that somehow makes you mature while in fact its showing you to be massively immature. BvS didn't want to build up an ideological struggle between two opposing forces, didn't want to explore the pros or cons of either viewpoint, and would rather we ignored the blatant hypocrisies both sides show. It just wants to smash some action figures together. Thats even further from being adult than anything the Marvel films you so dislike has done

Again in my stubborness, I still prefer it over nothing at all.

I'm curious, since you seem to have a hate-on for all things Marvel but apparently want adult stories, where do you stand on the first seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones on Netflix? Because they'd be more what I'd lean to if you asked me for a grittier story done right

Completely unfamiliar with Jessica Jones.

I have heard good things about the Daredevil series (especially when even Razorfist praise it) but never bothered watching it, does Daredevil make any appearence or reference in the wider MCU?

I wish they'd stop trying to make Aquaman happen.

It's just downright embarrassing.
Meme, or genuinely 50 years behind the times on the character?

Because in all current runs, he's not a joke character. And in the runs where he is a joke character (Brave and the Bold) he's still presented with decent power level and a genuine positive attitude to play the humour off, instead of 'Hurr durr talks to fishes'.

Hey man, you do whatever you gotta do to justify that character.

Whatever floats your boat.

I actually like this version of Aquaman. He was the only character I was on board with on Justice League. Batman is still too busy being an asshole, Flash is a spazz, Cyborg is bland, and Wonder Woman looked like she was looking for a ticket out the whole time. Aquaman was the only guy around to be a bro, going out with some pals to punch up aliens.

This trailer looks fairly bland though, aside from some pretty effects. Meh.

Daredevil has no real impact in the wider MCU, same as all the TV stuff really, and the only real impact of the films on the show is an excuse to have the long since gentrified Hell's Kitchen be a shithole again (smashed up by the alien invasion in Avengers you see). Season 1 is essentially "The Sopranos, occasionally with this superpowered blind guy" which is pretty much exactly a thing you were asking for
