Are A- cup bras really necessary?

First, let me start with few disclaimers- I am a guy, have no experience in wearing a bra, and too shy to ask anyone I know IRL about this.

So question- Do women with breast size A and lower really need bras?
I understand push-up bras in such scenarios.
But when it comes to daily and sport bras, it seems like a waste of money and time to wear bra when you don't need one.

I've read that bras in general are actually not a necessity at all. I read somewhere that wearing a bra prevents certain muscle groups around the chest from developing properly, leading to breasts sagging much sooner than women that choose not to wear bras.

For sports, support is probably a plus for women on the large size, and I think that that extra protection from nip slips and from cold days is enough to convince most people that a bra is a good thing. Unless you're one of those people that believe women should go topless in the streets, in which case, I think you're nuts. But to each their own, that's an entirely other topic.

But I'm a man, what I've read and heard is just stuff that I've either bumbled across or heard the ladies in the lunch room talking about. So don't take my word on it.

There aren't bras smaller than an A cup, after that it would be determined by back size.
At least not available in stores anyway.

They can give someone a nicer shape, make them feel more confident, more feminine and women's clothes are quite fitted so it can prevent someone's nipples from being really obvious through their shirt.

There are quite a few reasons why a woman with a smaller cup size would want to wear a bra.

Well I'm slightly bigger than that, but I wear one primarily because them moving around as they please when I go about my daily business can be extremely uncomfortable, and I have pronounced nipples so a bra is exremely helpful in preventing them from "poking trough the shirt". Mostly it's a comfort thing, it is far more comfortable to have them contained and in place than bouncing all over the place, so I'll only not wear one when I'm at home relaxing or when sleeping.

I imagine that girls with very small breasts wear them primarily for the nipple issue, and possibly because a bra can make them look bigger (especially with a bit of padding, which comes included in many bras). I can't really say for sure, I only know from personal experience X3.

As stated above by others.

I need to wear one, else I get uncomfortable with the bouncing and such (and I don't want to imagine what the sweating and chafing would do to the underboob without something to hold them still), but smaller cups are for shape, comfort and hiding things. I know I don't feel dressed unless I've got a bra on - and they really do keep you warm. I put one on in the mornings when I get up, othewise I get cold and shrivelly and sensitive. And yeah, that does happen.

The way I see it, just because a woman is a member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee may not mean her nipples don't work. Whether wet, cold or in heat (or all of the aforementioned), unless she is wearing loose clothes, protruding nips would be quite obvious.

That's just what I assume. Hopefully someone with experience in this could correct me.

Personally, I think bras are a waste of time completely.

Joking aside, as man who's been with a smaller woman, I can assure you that even the more modest sized chest needs support.

Also, you know, nipples, and shit.

This is true. I'd also argue that the younger ladies might want to wear a bra despite having smaller boobs to fit in with their classmates. I know I was definitely one of those people when I was in school.

"Nipples and Shit" sounds like the name of a convenience store chain or something.

OT: As a guy, all I know is that bras are sexy. Even if you've got tiny bwebies a bra cans till look great on you.

Fappy I have a plan, hear me out on this.

What if we started a convenience store chain called 'Nipples and Shit'?

That there is a successful market for them surely answers this question.
There is successful market for hoax food supplements, doesn't mean they do something

As someone who was responsible for initial reason behind this glorious plan of "Nipples'n'Shit" stores, I demand 10% of profit from each of you.
That makes 20%- because that's how math works.

P.S. Where is this .gif from?

C'mon people, I expect at least 3 really bad jokes based on this by the time I get back.

I should know, I'm wearing my sister's.
Don't forget derringers. How many men have died in movies thanks to a single shot derringer concealed in a voluminous bosom? I rest my case.

No, but seriously, if I had to guess it's mostly about keeping nipples from poking through the shirt, as well as for purposes of looking/feeling sexy. Push up bras are a thing, after all.

Well, my first thought was "puppies", but "wieners" could also work.

You can get bra holsters in real life as well.

Not just poking through, from rubbing against the shirt. Apparently it's not uncommon for men to have to use nipple tape if they are wearing certain types of shirts with nothing underneath.

If you were worried about your nipples showing through, wait until your bra's stuffed with hotdogs.... hahahahahaha I can see it.

Come to think of it I've had that problem in the past while swimming with a shirt on -- I guess wet cotton is more abrasive than dry. Women's nipples are more sensitive than men's, so I can understand why a bra would be a good idea if that kind if chafing is a problem.

That's actual totally wrong! The breasts are not attached to any muscles, the only thing holding them up is skin and ligaments. Going without a bra is actual more likely to make them sag. The weight can also lead to back problems if moving without a good bra. That's why there are sports-bras.

The breast muscle your referring to is located above the actual breast.
