You can dump a assload of coins into an arcade machine or buy Street Fighter IV for $60. Which is the better option? Neither. (I'm gonna use Street Fighter IV a lot in this cause it just came out)
At this date in gaming it's nothing but sequels. Halo 3, Street Fighter IV, Soul Calibur IV, Final Fantasy XIII, etc. Games are becoming like, to use a fairly weak comparison, sports cars. You're not paying for the car (or the game in this case), you're paying for the name it has.
Can you honestly say Street Fighter IV would be as hyped and at the price it is if it was under a different name? Facebreaker, in my opinion, is more fun that Street Fighter IV and it's half the damn price. Sure you can say "if you don't like it then don't buy it" but you can't tell me even with that mentality you've not felt like you wasted your money with a certain game. Granted there are some of you on this forum that actually rent before you buy but I can almost guarantee that no-one is actually gonna rent SF4 before they buy it.
So, basically, do you guys think certain games overpriced?
