Most teen's are lazy, a lot don't give a shit and think that the world will hand everything to them on a platter. My friend's and I tend to do a lot of work, trying to prepare for the work load that will come in University

Their neural structures are still forming, so they need to do a lot of reading and writing (and not just fiction). Their genes are still in the process of being expressed, so their bodies are especially malleable through exercise and sports. For many people, their physical and mental condition at age 16-20 will be a baseline for the rest of their lives.
