Are the Dalish worth siding with?

I like to have them in the final fight because the Archdemon focuses on roasting them and not you. If it keeps me from getting roasted, it's cool.

I used the mages and the dalish at the same time against the arch demon with great effect. When he was out of reach of my party they could still attack him.

In the final fight, I prefer the Dalish over the werewolves. The ability to shoot arrows at far-away enemies makes them the second-best ally type in my book, the mages being first. There's no shortage of melee guys (humans, dwarves, golems, templars, werewolves), but ranged attackers are more rare and far much more useful overall.

Ranged attacks can be helpful, and the werewolves die pretty easily. Having said that, I didn't use any armies in the final battles, 'cause I wanted to kill everything myself! Was probably harder, but it made me feel good!
