Halo 3 allows 2-player campaign co-op on the same console, and up to 4 over XBox Live (my wife and I for instance played together with two other friends over Live to complete the VidMaster: Annual achievement - complete the final level on Legendary difficulty with the Iron skull on, and all four players in Ghosts). Gears of War 1 & 2 have two-player campaign co-op either sharing a screen or via Xbox Live.
If you're talking just about multiplayer like deathmatches and such, you can do that in Halo 3 (you can even take guests into non-ranked playlists so your friend doesn't need their own account), Left 4 Dead... probably a bunch of others.

Too Human ONLY allows 2 person coop. But it kinda sucks at first but gets better the more you play it IMO.
Resident Evil 5, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, LittleBigPlanet...It's almost mandatory for games to have some multiplayer modes, including offline. What made you think that 'is this technology not available to us yet?!?!"?
It does, two per console and I think 8 overall. Normally I go round my mates house and I go medic and he goes solider. So simple, so unoriginal but so effective. But Halo 3 is my favourite (for both co-op and deathmatch etc.) for 2+ people on one console onlineWittyName said:
