STALKER.
Half-Life (Well, it's not too short, but then again it could be longer).

a game that made me go "WTF $60 FOR THAT!!!!!"
--Halo 3--

A game that lasted a perfect amount of time
--Fallout 3--

Halo 3 was short and made no sense, it was based primarily on multiplayer.
Fallout 3 is a long, exploration filled treasure trove of game play. It can be slow at times, but it is a great game.

Yes, play Baldur's Gate and it's expansion and then export your party into Baldur's Gate 2 and it's expansion.

One of the longest games I played was Tales of Symphonia (TWO DISCS!)
Any Final Fantasy game is long as hell.

Other than that, I've played Tony Hawk's Project 8. It didn't really have a story other than "Become one of the top 8 of the top 200 skaters" and all you do is skate around doing meaningless activities and the occasional "Pro challenge". Once you reach No. 8, the game is done, and it takes a lot of patience.

On average it takes about three days to finish a campaign. I personally wish that for every game I played it'd take at least a week. Just so it stays fun and doesn't wear out its welcome. I think three days is too short. A nice long horror game or a good old shooter taking a week would be a nice change of pace for me.

Yeah but it's also one of the most dull games i've ever played, i'd give it to someone who had wronged me in someway and make him play it to the end as punishment.
I dont know why someone would wanna finish that game.

People say BioShock is a short game, but if you play it on medium like any good gamer should and take some care in the levels to atleast get a half decent look at everything in the levels you go through it can take upto 15hours+ to complete.
15 hours i think is about right for a game, certainly an FPS, it's one of the games you play through wanting more but not feeling as though it was too short, that to me i think is good game making. Most game developers create that feeling by having a short gameplay lenght.

Err it was for gamecube, those disks didnt hold shit, compared to a DVD or DL DVD, Shenmue II was 4 disks, the GD DISKS held the same as a gamecube disk.

RAGE for the xbox360 (and ps3) will have 2x DL DVD's
Lost Odyssey had 4xDL DVD's thats like 28gb's of game.
Stories tell of MGS4 filling the DL-BLUE RAY, thats 50GB's although i think that was more to laziness on the game developers side.

On a side note, even though i fear sounding like a total twat, my total playing time on Oblivion was around 600hours ish.

You can all flame me now.

Same, although i havent really played it since June, because i got bored of the endless phonecalls from my cousin and the endless dates and the endless phonecalls from everyone i ever met, asking me to take them places.

I was never able to wander randomly around GTA IV, i found myself having to go look for fun in a game series where in the past fun found you.
For the £45 i paid for the game i could have had a more enjoyable experience paying someone the £45 to grate my eyeballs, admittedly wouldnt last as long as the game did, but atleast i wouldnt have to play it ever again
