LOTR: Conquest or star wars battlefront coming out soon? What I mean are games where you play as one soldier in the middle of a huge war, running around the entire battlefield killing people and completing objectives. I don't know of any, so can you guys maybe suggest some?

That's REALLY general. Pretty much every war game I can think of. Do you mean a Sandbox game?

I guess you could say the dynasty warriors games are somewhat like that, it might be worth it to go give some of them a try.

Both of those games are based heavily on the Battlefield series. Bad Company was a departure from the standard BF gameplay, so I would check out either Battlefield 2 (modern day) or Battlefield 2142 (futuristic). BF2142 is the newer of the 2 so it has better graphics but both games have excellent gameplay. One last note is that the Battlefield series is almost strictly MP unless you play the earlier ones such as BF 1942 and BF Vietnam.

No, not that I know of. I've been waiting on Battlefront 3 for a while, after Renegade Squadron came out and destroyed my dreams of a good side game to tide me over.

No, he doesn't

The ones he mentions dump you into individual scenarios wherin you play through battles from the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings mythoses, and your army has to complete certain objectives to win.

Battlefield series would be your best bet, 2 and 2142 where great games.
