Darksiders 2. The combat is fun enough and I like the outfit customization, but as soon as I got to the Land of the Dead I lost interest in going for another 2/3 or so of the game.

LA Noire. Game lost a lot of direction after solving the Black Dahlia, but Cole never lost his charm.

Rage. Albeit the story wasn't particularly interesting, the guns and game feel were nice.

Bioshock 1 and 2. Both times when I started them I instantly fell completely in love with the setting and atmosphere of Rapture, and the game mechanics are really fun to, what with the tonics and the whatevers.

Then I stop playing at the end of a decent game session, and just never start the game up again.

The Ratchet & Clank Collection. In the first game, I stopped playing at the last boss battle to skip to the third game. In the second one, I stopped playing right before the final boss. The third one I barely even started.

Morrowind. I never paid any of the quests much heed, preferring instead to just travel around the world in my search for cooler and cooler gear.

Final Fantasy Tactics and Scurge: Hive due to the incredibly difficult final battle(s). I might finish FFT one day since I think I can probably beat it by grinding 5-10 levels more, but not sure on Scurge

Then there's Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, in which I've only beaten all the single-player missions save for one. I'll never be able to fight Ukanlos unless I find someone to play multiplayer with :/

Star Wars: The Old Republic. I love that game enough that I want to play every class story all the way through...But sadly I just lack the time.

Also Bastion and Saints Row the Third, but I do expect I'll finish those at some point. Haven't yet due to the same reason I gave for TOR, just not a lot of free time for gaming lately.

Metro 2033. Amoebas. Fuck.
You've gotta use either your assault rifle or the Combat Shotgun the entire way. The game piles dirty ammo on you, plus you have no reason to hoard armor-piercing rounds since you don't visit anymore metros.

I do this loads for various reasons. I'm enjoying myself and I don't really aim on finishing. I did that with Oblivion. I was also enjoying GTA IV and for some reason, the game stopped working and got very unstable in the last act. I still don't know how it finished. The Witcher 2 I got close to finishing, and I shelved indefinitely. Icewind Dale crashed upon trying to enter the final bosses area. I think there are about 30-40 more which have suffered similarly, and I have finished many which didn't deserve it. I wonder if there is any psychological reason for it...

Eh, the last save I had at that part was on my old computer and I can't be arsed to do the stealth bits in the game again.
Shame that I'll probably see the end in my own playthrough, but hey, sucks to be me.

Sort of? I loved half of Far Cry 3. Then after one part half way through the game (those of you who have played will know which part) and getting to the second island I got bored. I suddenly stopped liking Jason Brody as a character and the game got dull. So I sort of loved it?
A whole lot of this. I just lost all incentive to play after the half way point and any interest in Jason Brody just disappeared.

OT: There isn't any games that I REALLY loved that I didn't finish, but I thought New Vegas was really fun and didn't finish that. I played it through twice up to the exact same point in the story about the time I was trying to earn the Boomer's trust. After accomplishing what I thought was the main objective and finding the guy who shot you, the whole war business just seemed to come out of nowhere and it just made me lose interest.

Katamari Damacy.
Some levels are just too Trial and Error-y and awfully long. Like you need atleast 10 or so playthoughs to manage to create a decent strategy...

Yakuza games.
God, the fighting is so much fun...but the story is all that was wrong with MGS cutscenes.

No One Lives Forever 2.

WAAAAY back when i first bought the game i managed to beat a couple of missions but then i stopped.
AND I LOOVED the first, and the second is great...but sadly i upgraded my PC and i haven't been able to install it properly as theres no sound, and the game crashes a lot on the first mission...but yeah, without sound this game is just not fun

Yes, and in fact I'm trying beat it right now.

The game is Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood!. I think it's a fantastic platformer, it's difficult, but in a good way, and it's funny.

Trouble is, when I first got it, I managed to get near the end, and hit a brick wall. I simply COULD NOT beat the boss rush near the end. Oh, the boss rush itself wasn't really the problem. It's what comes after it. You have to beat 100 clones of yourself. In one sitting. And if you die, the count resets, and you have to try and beat them all ALL over again. The difficulty of the game jumped like it found a cobra in it's toilet.

Despite this, I couldn't bring myself to get rid of the game, I still thought it was great. I'm actually in the middle of trying to beat it again. Hopefully, I'll figure out some kind of trick this time to beating that damn boss rush.

I never finished MGS4, for some reason. Or Xcom, but that's because it's fucking hard.

Morrowind. Maybe because both my father and brother played it before me and spoiled the bloody ending.

Final Fantasy X

Stuck on the boss fight with the metal music (avoiding plot spoilers) at the end of the game. My sister and I play along side each other on the same save game and she has a habit of being a tad under leveled when it comes to jrpg's.

Also, Oblivion because I played the shit out of it on the Xbox but I hated how little money I always had, especially when it came to quests that needed it. I bought a hard copy for the PC with the intention of modding and only using the money cheat for exact amounts when needed. I haven't played too much with it because of the problem I suffer from with all media I have on my computer, access just feels too easy.

Red Dead Redemption - Loved the game but I had serious problems getting used to the controls so I never got but about halfway through it.

Grand Theft Auto IV - (same as above)

Two Worlds 2 - In a way I did finish the game as long you don't count the final battle which pissed the shit out of me because it was both hard and threw everything you ever trained for out the window.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I got it when I was about five, and it would crash at a certain point about 2/3 of the way through the game- so I never completed it. :(
Oh lawd. That game was fantastic, and totally worth playing to the end. You can get it on gog.com if you want.

OT: Just Cause 2 is the best sandbox game ever. I haven't com even close to beating it, but I'm OK with that.
