Are there any games you wish you could port to another platform?

Mass Effect to the PS3. I know they're releasing Mass Effect 2, but it's a watered down version.
Same here but the original Mass Effect Is a 360 exclusive.
What of the PC version?

OT: I wouldn't mind having Gears of War on my PS3. But I won't try and beg for it. It would be nice though.

Anyways, I'd say I'd love to port almost all my JRPGs (which range from PS1 classics, to the PS2 era, to one on the 360, which is on the PS3 in Japan) to the PS3, but you know what, here's something that could be a bit easier:

PUT THE MOTHERFUCKING LEGEND OF THE DRAGOON ON THE PSN ALREADY!
Is the 360 one Tales of Vesperia?

Because that's the best 360 JRPG I can imagine...that's also on the PS3 in Japan.

Now why the Tales series isn't the poster child for JRPGs, I'll never know. How did FF get that image?

OT:

Port Riviera: The Promised Land to consoles, instead of the PSP/GBA.

Yeah. Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Halo 3/ODST/Wars, Lost Odyssy, Magna Carta 2, Blue Dragon, Metro 2033, and any other exclusives I own so that I could go ahead and get rid of my X360. It's taking up space for just a handful of games.

Yeah. Everything. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, exclusivity is the curse of gaming today. Why the hell should I have to buy a completely different console just to get a new game in a series I love, or the full experience of a game? For example, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is a PSP exclusive, while 358/2 Days is a DS exclusive. Since both are vital to understanding the (already complex) story of the series, gamers are thus forced to have both consoles to get the full story. As a DS owner, but without a PSP, this pisses me off.

If I was a developer, which I hope to be someday, I would make sure all games I make were released for every platform possible for that format. Why should gamers, the customers, have to lose out, just because developers and publishers want to make a few extra bucks from the console rights? No wonder piracy is so rampant nowadays...

Pretty much all FPSs ever made for consoles, with a few exceptions seeing as some are so poor I don't want them at all. Ported to PC that is, IF they could do it well...

MAG I'd like, having a revolutionary game like that not be for PC is insulting >>.

I'd actually like to port Recettear to XBLA and PSN.

I think it could work as the button system isn't complicated and I'd almost definitely buy it for 1200msp!

It is possible to get this to work you know.... you just need to do some searching.

OT, I wish Killzone 2 was ported to PC.

Yep. It's funny that it ended up as a 360 exclusive despite being a JRPG.

Probably the reason FF is the poster child and not Tales is that
1: they touched 3D first and became famous that way
2: they're a victory from the jaws of defeat story
3: there are so many, earning both a giant lampshade and recognition as a series, despite the fact that there aren't that many sequels
4: Tales games don't get as much advertisment funds (literally every tales game has snuck by me and was released without me realizing it, including vesperia, which I was supposed to be following).
5: Like FFIX they look too cartoonish for gamers while their plots get WAY too dark for kids. Unlike Invader Zim, this didn't equal mega-cult statis
6: Original fans probably didn't like the 3D ones, while newer fans probably don't like the 2D ones.
7: Like all JRPGs, Tales' plots are often difficult to truly advertise without spoiling, as the only thing you can talk about is the beginning part (which is usually the worst part of the quest). FF games have a bit less control in pacing, making that part start off strong (though they usually have a bit of a struggle at some point during the game), while Tales games start you off small and work up to a grand scale. In advertising though, this means FF has the better blurb on the back.
8: FF games are simplier. Tales games have huge worlds with new rules and technology, and like Bioware games, they go about explaining it. FF takes the "fuck it, we'll mention it once, maybe even have it be plot important, but never REALLY explain it" approach.
9: JRPGs aren't often given much of a chance, so a lot of people don't discover the Tales games any more than "Ooh, anime characters on the boxart. Avoiding this due to my xenophobia." Meaning Final Fantasy, which is too well known even by those who don't like the genre, remains for some the only JRPG they know.

Even then, there are plenty of good JRPGs that also could fit as poster child if FF wasn't seated on the throne. SMT (which might be disqualified due to both its weirdness and the M rating when most JRPGs seem to be T), Star Ocean (though 4 might not count...), Xenosaga (especially if it were allowed to be finished), Demon's Souls (though that's a JRPG that plays like an action/horror WRPG with MMORPG elements and tone), or Pokemon (though that seems to have ascended to a higher plane of existance: A Nintendo game).

But then there are so many poster childern that will probably never be unseated.
Mario for platforming
Megaman/Samus for sidescroller shooter, with Castlevania coming up as sidescroller melee weapons
Golden Axe/Streets of Rage for the brawler
Street Fighter/Tekken for the fighting genre
Halo/Call of Duty for FPSs (even though the Escapist likes Half-Life more, those two are thought of first)
Resident Evil (sadly) for horror
Gears of War for third person shooters
God of War and Devil May Cry for hack and slashs
Grand Theft Auto for sandbox crime
MGS for stealth

Splinter Cell: Conviction on the PS3, or an updated version of TF2 also on PS3 would be nice (it's practically a whole new game).

You may as well try and hunt down the PC version. I used to be awesome when I first played it on the PS2, but now I can't work with the aiming anymore. The PC version, however, plays just as fine as it did back in the day, with the added bonus of being able to work on Windows 7.

If my PC could run it without it looking like power-point, I would.
