In Halo 3: Guardian, Assembly, Foundry (normal)
In CSS: de_nuke (FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE FOR TERRORISTS), cs_office (AWP campfest), that big castle one (don't remember its name. I think it started with a "p"), and there was this one surf map set in space that was fucking hard (don't remember its name either),
In MW2: None of the maps are particularly good, but the best ones are Afghan, Derail and Sub Base. The rest have shit spawns/camp heaven/both.
In BFBC2: Port Valdez, Laguna Presa,

Thats what I can come up with off the top of my head.

Rundown and kararichi on MW2. For some reason I just hate the way those maps are set up and the setting they are in. Also Nelson bay on BC2. Goddamn snipers and heavy machine gunners just siting in the trees and no vehicles to blow them up. Cant see a damn thing either cuz its nighttime

Invasion and Karachi are a pain in the ass. Cant snipe and going any where get you turned into a bloody pulp from all the bullets shot from the guy a round the corner.

I seem to be the only one who loved Shipment on CoD4.

Here's my most hated maps:

MW2: Karachi & Derail
CoD4: Chinatown at first but then I grew to like it.
007 Nightfire: Atlantis
Super Smash Bros Brawl: Final Destination (Seriously, why does everyone choose this map?)
i thought the same thing on the last one..its the most generic map, thats why people do it, its boring and predictable on that map, all the "pro" people do it, so all the semi elitists underneath them think they need to do it too, and it starts a domino effect

personally i like the maps where its a massive weird terrain, like the link hyrule castle level, and a few i made up even, it adds to the fun

(i know some elitists kids like that..its funny to beat them, they pick the map and everything and i still have a rape fest with them and its funny to see them rage quit on my couch over it)

Ha, I had the same experience with Chinatown. It really grows on you, you know? I had the same experience with Crash as well.

Anyway, I find my reaction to Rust odd. I loved Shipment in CoD4, it was a completely wild free-for-all, but they still somehow did something right. On the other hand, while Rust is the closest thing to Shipment in MW2, it just doesn't work the same way. Maybe it's the fact that there's a tower in the center, maybe it's the fact that there's cover in front of long sight lines (whereas, in Shipment, to have a decent sightline, you had to give up cover), but whatever the reason, it just doesn't work.

Wasteland in MW2, the rest are awesome though.

fuck wasteland
There's a reason why it's called Wasteland, because everywhere but the middle bunker is barren and desolate!

Splitscreen, I.e. two players, is completely fine. It's a tense, thrilling experience.

Anything more than that is a 20-second lifespan battle royale.
I'd think 20 seconds is pushing it to be honest.
Too much?
Indeed.
4.5 seconds more reasonable?

Scrapyard.

I'm surprised no one else mentioned it. I hate it because it feels unbalanced, whoever starts on the low end of the map has the advantage due the easier way into the big forklift buildings.

The lines of sight are totally random on it too.

Or maybe it's because I just consistently suck in it.

Seems to be a fair bit of hate for Shipment and Rust which is strange to me seeing as they're the 2 maps that come up the least(think I had maybe 2 matches on Shipment and maybe 4 on Rust).

Not a fan of River(?) on Gears 2.Getting sniped at the spawn point sucks ass.

Well I don't play any online shooters except tf2 nowadays, and junction is the worst map in that game by far. Tiny roofs so no vertical mobility allowed, and the entire map is full of tight narrow doorways and other parts that are just massive spamathons all the friggin time. It's literally the most spam I've ever seen in a game, just spam.
spam.
spam spam spam.
The job of defense is to find the two doorways leading to the last cap and fill it with death for ten minutes.

Space CTF on Quakelive. You'll get railgunned in mid-air just going across to the other side, everyone starts with Shotguns, if someone gets your flag, and nobody on your team is waiting to take him out, you'll probably never catch him. It's just a dumb map that everyone likes to play. And to just make you hate it more, there's a Quad Damage power-up. On CTF map.
