Are there other Escapists looking forward to "A Game of Thrones" the HBO series?

The final decision should be made in the next month, whether it'll be a full series or not. The cast looks awesome, Lena Headey, Mark Addy, Sean Bean, Peter Dinklage. And the story is, as those who've read it know, phenomenal. I hope it's a good series, well...I hope it gets made into a series first. Any thoughts, guys?

I don't think fans so much have to worry about the quality so much as the final decision to begin production. This is HBO we are talking about, one of the most highly regarded entertainment networks in existence whose shows win award after award, not some shitty NBC project that's just another attempt to patch up the hole caused my My Name is Earl's cancellation.

I sincerely hopes it is made into a show. It's always interesting when a book, comic, or video game is made into a show, just because you wonder where they could go with it.

Hmmm, that would be very interesting, I read the first book but couldn't get into the second book. I did however like the first book. SO I'll keep an eye out for this.

i really loved the books, but we dont get HBO here either. So i guess i'll never know...
