I've been reading a lot of people's opinion on whether they think games are getting easier. Almost all of them say they are. What are your thoughts. I think they are. I could never finish Pac-man.

Yes but thats why they have harder difficulties.
And if those are too easy for me then I'll play a game I know I cant beat. Like Ninja Gaiden 2 in Master Ninja difficulty.

Have you tried Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 or DA:O on the hardest difficulty(hell even ME1&2 on insane wasn't as hard as that game). The hard games are out there, you just have to up the difficutly from easy or normal.
It used to be, games used difficulty to cover for their lack of content. Now, they have enough content that it's not necessary, so I think reduced difficulties are part of a positive trend.
Super Mario Bros. took longer than New Super Mario Bros., despite having far fewer levels. It's because it was so much harder, which made it less interesting. Seeing 8-2 over and over made my blood boil.

They're definitely getting easier. I mean, I'm sure the years of experience have made me better as well, but I generally go straight to Hard mode without issues. Lately, only GoW 3 made me reduce it at the start to normal, but that's probably because action games are not my thing. Anyway, yes just about every game/genre is getting way easier and more forgiving.
Well, as mentioned, Demon's Souls is not easy. It's not terrible hard, I guess, but it takes skill. The first several hours of playing is like... well, watch Yahtzee's review. Let's call it "fun"
but after a while when used to it (and after a few soul level increases and some new gear) it becomes less hard and way more fun but still very challenging because a mistake will kill you. No forgiveness. And of course, no matter how pimped you are, fighting Black Phantoms in PBWT is tough!!!
