Are we a real life version of The Sims?

HA! We dont have free will. We act based on what we know and what happens around us. Therefore we have set probabilities to what we will do when presented with a problem or an object and that will change as we gain new data. As for the world being a simulation. What difference does it make?

I read on QJ sometime ago, that there's a 20% chance we are a computer simulation. If that's true, how come we haven't found ways to cheat at the game we call life?

In the sims, the sims don't cheat, you do.
So for us, god would have to be the cheater.

I've thought about this though. It would all make sense, wouldn't it? Don't you find it a little too convenient that we all just happened to pop into this world in an era of technological advancement that allows us to make such speculations? I would think not because chances are we were programmed not to figure out that we were computer programs so if we come to a self-realization and find out what we really are then that would contradict the programming. Notice that no Sims seem to notice that they are computer programs. That's because they were programmed not to know. Unless we were purposely programmed to figure out what we really are which is very unlikely.
