Wow, that is a long post. No, I am not jealous of men.

♪the female of the species is more deadly than the male♪

I have role models of my own, both men and women. I don't see why a role model must be the same gender as you--as long as someone possesses attributes you find admirable or desirable, what does it matter? I used to be a woman-h8r but I guess I am a little more comfortable with the idea of being female now. I agree with you on many points, but most women are not the pigeonholed generalization you've depicted with your post.

Clearly, as it's not a "road scholar", but a "Rhodes Scholar". That's actually what got you such a high score.
Actually, while you're right that I was ignorant of the existence of the Rhodes Scholarship, 5 minutes of Google research suggests that neither of those two terms expresses what I was trying to say.

Weird.

Your post basically says "all women have no identity, except the women that have identity".

That's a bit like saying "all cats are black except the ones that are other colours". It's about as redundant as statements get.
You misunderstood me. I didn't say, "All women have no identity." I said, "The female gender has no identity." Individual women can have great identities. But as a group they have no baseline model to which to aspire, as men do.

Now try rereading my post free of assumptions and pre-formed accusations.

Thanks for the internets, it was an interesting read. (You structured the article very nicely! Thumbs up!) Not much to comment and I can't exactly tell you that you're wrong. It's an observation after all, not a published analysis titled "THIS IS THE TRUTH ABOUT WOMEN!"

Only one questioned was produced from reading that...

Can I still be a manly man and enjoy a scented bath?

Apart from that, fair play...

The way I see it is that people won't truly be equal until we stop talking about them being equal. What I mean is that if a woman, black person or a person from any minority group does anything special, the first thing that is mentioned is that they are from a minority group. If we can just ignor that and focus on what they have done, then we will be treating everyone equally and according to their own merits.

I get told that I'm pretty good in regards to taking jokes/making jokes and 'the only funny girl in the world' (I'm using that description 'til my death, bros) but still, the idea that women can't take a joke about how they're inferior or some shite is VERY mistaken. I mean, all of the girls that I hang with would laugh at MEN R BEST WOMEN GET IN KITCHEN type jokes because, well they're ridiculous.

Also, you seem to be bitching about radical feminists, not all women. Not even all feminists. Liberal feminists are more for equality rather than superiority. Also, ALSO, saying that women have achieve equality is fucking stupid, of course they haven't. But y'know? Of course it's gonna take time and it's generally going in the right way.

And anyway, I know tonnes of guys who get more jealous and insecure than some of the girls I know. No biggie, everyone's different. Still it's annoying and whiney.

I think men should be safe to break out of the manly, dickhead stereotype if they want to as well, it's kinda sad that they're stuck with it, WHAT IF THEY JUST WANT TO DANCE?! I don't see the manly identity as a positive thing at all, surely it's better to be seen on individual merit, no?

Interesting read, and I'd agree with some, if not most of it.

However, I can't help but see this as one of the most well written troll attempts :p I'm just waiting for a female to have a rant at you and create a self fulfilling prophecy.

I kid, I kid, I know you aren't trolling.

EDIT: Post above almost did it, but not quite... not quite the rant I was waiting for.

Are all women not of the female gender?

The thing I don't understand is rather than them tell you what's wrong, you have to guess what's wrong with them.

Apparently after several million wild stabs in the dark I'm 'insensitive.'

Then again I suppose it's just my bad experiences, maybe there's a girl out there who isn't like that.

This post really got me thinking. I was at first going to ignore it off-hand (considering the title) but the thought you put into your argument made me reconsider....though this doesn't mean i think your right :p

Gender stereotypes are a difficult topic, with many people calling you 'ignorant' the second you say there is something to them, but i wouldn't say they are so strong as to let you call all women the same in essence. Women can indeed be bitches, in that they take offence and over-emotionalise (a made up word, i know, but go with it :p), but then again men can be bastards.

Thats the main problem i have with your argument, not that you are necessarily insulting women but calling men so much better then women. Gender stereotypes go both ways, for all the problems women CAN have men have their own problems too, such as arrogance, a tendency towards violence, etc...

To judge a whole gender on the actions of a loud majority doesn't seem fair is all :p

You're lumping every woman into one group and lumping every man into the same group.

Not always the best of ideas.

I'm sure that yes, there are some women that wish they were men. By the same token, I'm equally as sure that there are some men that wish they were women.

Also, your post was way too fucking long.

I could say the same things about guys :\

The problem with women is that they purposely don't tell you what's wrong to avoid the problem, inadvertently creating a bigger problem--the problem with men is that they themselves don't know what is wrong, or worse, deny that anything's wrong at all, also inadvertently creating a bigger problem. Can't we all just hug and get along?

I've also been accused of being insensitive by dates enough times for me to realize that I should practice tact and the art of the white lie more often. Then again I might be among the minority of rude girls w/ no feelings. I FEEL NOTHING!

Well I will listen to people, I don't mind listening to people talk, men just avoid saying anything because they feel less manly about it. My best guess.

*clap clap*

You got us, there.

I'm a girl and yes, I am jealous of men. Mostly because I feel like there is so much girls have to do and things I would be so much happier without:

*Girls have to wear make-up
*Girls have to wear pretty (often uncomfortable) clothing
*Girls have the period (which hurts very much, btw... and gives uncontrollable mood swings )
*It's not as accepted for girls to be gamers (at least not amongst other girls)
And most of all, it is not as easy to be friends with men. If I want to spend time with men because I think they in majority have much better humour than girls, they always start talking about something else that is not as funny, just because I'm a girl.

Congratulations for a very well thought out post.

Rare to see somebody who can criticise their own argument on the internet too, which just means yours has gained massively in credibility.
