gaming, though enormous amounts of fun, is ultimately juvenile to a certain point
let me explain:
we sit in front of a machine, waiting to be entertained. nothing more, nothing less.
That WANT to be entertained is fine if used for short relaxation periods say half and hour to an hour but after a certain point there you are sitting completely still, still being stimulated by flashy graphics and adrenaline, much like a baby is stimulated by brightly coloured objects.
Now, there are many activities in life like this, and it is fine in short bursts to relax as I have said but as soon as it takes over other areas of your life then entertainment takes priority over say work and you become just that little bit more child-like.
So I'm going to stop gaming when I go to University (or college as americans say)
