Ive fought him before, several times in fact, I never won though. I'm pretty sure its why I gave up the game.
There are two djinni that grant your party nearly impenetrable shields for a turn. Alternate between using and setting each one so your party is constantly shielded. Use the remaining two characters in your party to kick his ass.

In other news, oh my God, I fucking love GoldenSun. The graphics blew my tiny mind when I first saw them. And the characters, and the gameplay, and... fuck, it was just great.

GoldenSun3 plz.

Golden Sun: If you didn't know better you'd swear it was a lost 16bit classic.

I have to pick the game back up, its been too long since I played last. Hell I still have to beat the hidden boss on the second GS.
He's a real pain to find, and it's impossible if you didn't input a code before you join up with Isaac & Co.

You gave up the game because of an optional boss?

I still maintain that Golden Sun 2 was one of the best video game purchases I have ever made, and easily my favorite GBA game with Fire Emblem as a close second. So yeah, I like GS.
Same here. GS and FE are really great games. I got all the Djinni, but only got to level 43.

Nope, couldn't get more than 2 hours into it before I decided it was so generic it hurt. Terrible, terrible scenario writing.

I loved playing Golden Sun. It had great characters (Isaac and Saturos were my favourites), interesting storyline, great gameplay and bosses, cool special moves and an amazing soundtrack.

"Judgement" was legendary, who else has a special move that destroys half the earth?

I've always found GS and GS:TLA to be a bit easy, aside from Dullahan (who I've never managed to beat without extreme cheesing). Surprisingly, however, I still rank them in my top 10 favorite games.

Camelot would make an absurd amount of money if they ever got around to GS3. It felt like there were simply too many loose ends left behind at the end of The Lost Age. The possibilities for games set in the new, Alchemy-infused Weyard are pretty numerous.

I loved them. So very, very much. I was always just a little bit too bad at them to beat the end bosses more than once. So only one play through in either game is finished completely.

It's been a while since I played Golden Sun. I stopped playing after I beat Dullahan.(Or something like that.)

I love the Golden Sun games (as you can see from my avatar). I have to agree with the first being better and I am in the process of replaying the series.

the sad thing is its really hard to find GS nowadays,so if you sold GS, good luck finding another copy. It took me a good 5 hours to copy my transfer code right for the sequel, but i loved every minute of it. I also pray for the third game. Camelot would make one if they cared about us and our thread!

My favorite psyenergy is Odessey

Quote this post and add your faves!
Dreamtide from the Pirate Sword was pretty cool. Golden Sun is my guilty pleasure - a JRPG that owes a lot to a series I'll never really play. The story isn't scintilliating, or the characters but for some reason I keep going back to it

I lost it, which annoys me cause I got the 2nd one but I want to beat the first before I move on. I think I got stuck though anyways, in that one town shortly after getting Ivan.

Ah, yes, Golden Sun. It's been a while, but I have some very fond memories of that game. The final boss of The Lost Age was a pain, though. I spent 9 and a half hours trying to beat the damn thing, as I was EXTREMELY under-level for the fight. I promptly passed out at 7:30 AM after I finished the battle, too, so I never got to see the ending sequence.
I never managed to beat it. After a combined 24 hours of trying to fight him I just gave up, cursing his overpowered attacks >:|.

Also I'd <3 a GS3 - I would snap that game up in a second.

Soooooo glad I held onto my copies of 1 and 2, I was going to sell them but then had seconds thoughts and kept them, they are just too good to give up...
I liked the first one better though, it was more addictive than the second one for me...
And if they make a 3rd, please let it be for DS, I really don't want to have to buy a Wii for just one game, even if it would be fantastically awesome (the game, not the Wii...)
