Well, I like standing on people's heads and killing them in TF2, but I prefer being called a Headcamp Escort or Headcamp Exotic Dancer to Headcamp Whore. Even Headcamp Scamp is better.

Are there aspects of games that you find so compelling that you perpetually do it?

For example, I know that I am a Lore Whore and an Explore Whore. I always feel compelled to read the world's backstory, as well as "de-black" every possible unexplored corner of the map.

What about you? Are you a whore?

I am the same way. I must explore absolutely every area of every game. The backstory of the areas is also of interest to me.

I do the backstory and exploration things, I mean I read MOO3s whole backstory, but I'm more then anything a gaming wit whore, I loved portal for that, and I can't stand all the BS cake jokes going around... but that computer DID make the game.

I have to get as many trophies as I can, and level up as much as possible as fast and early as possible.

EDIT: I also have to understand every aspect of the story and make perfect sense of it. I guess I'm a story whore too.

i always try to get the achievements even if they are really stupid. i have been been called many whores in my life and achievement is probably in the top 5.

In RTS games, shooters, RPGs, etc, i always try to kill EVERY enemy and not let a single fucking one escape.
maybe I'm just ruthless.

Story, lore, exploration, leaving no enemies alive, soundtracks, and QTEs (*gasp!* Oh noez! Sum1 liekz dem!!11!). I suppose I'm as big a whore as one can be when it comes to singleplayer games.
I have, however, not the slightest bit of interest in multiplayer games.

If I were a whore at anything, it would be maxing skills out. That's basically my goal in RPGs. Max everything out. My Fable games will agree with that.

Why is it we must use terms like "whore" when "enthusiast" seems so much less personally demeaning?

That said I'm a completionist, I like to see and do everything that can be seen or done, heck, I've probably seen some pretty rare stuff in gaming because I'm such a "completion enthusiast". I'd say the same about achievements, but I'm in it for the challenge and the fun, and my understanding is that being an, ugh, "Achievement whore" means all you want are achievements, and I doesn't matter how you get them as long as you do.
