I multi-task all the time. TV, music, Escapist, MSN, homework. I'm often times doing most of those things at the same time.

I use the internet while watching TV. I read while taking a dump.

At work I process payments on insurance claims while taking calls on unrelated claims. I am usually thinking about three different cases at any given time.

That's about it.

Most definitely, I'm on my laptop(which is running this and YIM) and my desktop(Steam and Steam chat) at the same time and I'm still bored and trying to find something else to do

Oh Phunny Story: I was on the phone and the computer at the same time about a year or so ago when my step-father walks up(Backstory on him: He's an asshole) and starts yelling at me for that shit. So I get off the phone and yell back "What? I'm not allowed to multitask" to which he replied "What?" (he's also hard of hearing a.k.a. almost deaf) "I said, am I not allowed to multitask" "I heard you the first time" "Then why did you say what?" "I don't know what that means"(all of this is happening with raised voices). I found out later after I explained it to him and he prompted cried to my mother about it that he thought "Multitask" was some new slang(or "jargon" as he put it if I remember right)

I can only multitask with activities that I'm already familiar with. So I can't learn and read at the same time, but I can make toast and read at the same time. I can multitask pretty well with things that don't require concentration.

For the most part I can handle having more than one thing going on at one time. However, I have trouble talking (or communicating in general) while doing several types of things. It can be pretty hilarious when I stop talking mid sentence because I started typing a text message... or started unloading the dishwasher.

If you can't multitask as a barista, you will fail. I can steam milk while pulling espresso shots, preparing blended beverages, shaking iced teas, and chatting up/flirting with customers.

Outside of work, I'm reading and checking my voicemail in between looking at threads here.

yes, and I've been doing it moreso because I think polyrhythms are the musical version of multitasking.
