Optimist, after eliminating the pessimism of depression from my soul through purgation, metal and internet.
Is there any problem with being happy? I don't think so.
The fall from happiness? That's why you stay optimistic and make light of the situation. "Could be worse; could be raining."
Or as one way that removed my depression, "It could be worse, I could be some child soldier in Africa who'd been neutered with a rusty blade and have aids, as well as be forced to fight in some conflict against a rival warlord and his numbers of child soldiers. And then have a home in the dirt, with a good chance of being tortured and killed any night of my life whilst I struggle to survive because my conscription never came with a 'Please feed me' plan."
I liked suburban life in comparison to that.

Pessimist. If I'm feeling really really good about the world and my place in it, I'm riding on a false high that will eventually come down into abject misery. Even if I'm optimistic about the future (by making stuff up and lying to myself) my present is still fairly shit and there's little I can do to change it.

I'm a pessemist, but for some reason I find being pessemistic more fun.
Yeah I know it makes no sence at all.

I'm gonna say both. It really depends on my mood actually. Granted, I don't really believe there is a purely optimistic or pessimistic person since we all have highs and lows in our lives.

Optimist because things always seem to work out themselves around me. Not to say I don't put any forethought in what I do, I just think that maybe X will happen.
