I got a 0 (perfect vision) which I am quite surprised about. I expected it to be good as I know I have decent eyesight, but not that good.

I got a 0! This was neat! It didn't take very long, I just started by throwing all the pieces of similar color to each side... once they were next to each other it was easier to differentiate between shades. This is a different skill than recognizing different colors, though... since you can compare them side by side. It's useful for seeing how well you see hues, though.
That is exactly how I did it.

4 With only a bit of trouble in the blue/purple area. Not surprising considering I've had actual arguments with people over whether objects were blue or purple. Actually expected to score higher/worse since those arguments always ended with general consensus against me.

I arranged the things a bit and wound up with 3 or 4 indistinguishable clumps per row (the top one that went pink->orange-> puke was particularly bad). Scored a 242. Not surprising. My vision isn't even correctable to 20/20 anymore (powder burns and metal shavings are a *****. Laser surgeons refuse to touch me), and my laptop's screen is quite badly beaten up.

I can still read this, though:

so... I'm not completely fucked.

I missed 4 on the first try, all in the blue/green region. Got a perfect score on the second try.

Tried it again on my laptop to see if that made a difference, missed 4 again in the same area as the first try. Kinda doubt I can do any better on that monitor, and don't feel like trying again. Laptop's pointing device kinda sucks.

I got a perfect score! Groovy.

I honestly wasn't sure I'd get that. I thought I'd at most just be in the single digits because the last bar was giving me trouble. I spent some time switching colors back and forth and squinting at the screen. And I still wasn't satisfied.

But I guess I was right. Definitely cool.

Seven! Lucky seven!

Not that I've ever had any problems with colours in the past - it's everything else that's the problem.

Oddly, no known male has ever been tetrachomatic, and it is thought only women can genetically become tetrachomatics.
Is this why when shown a paint chart from a DIY store women see sunset yellow, royal blue and all manner of crazy things whilst men just see a bunch of yellows that look the same, a bunch of blues that look the same?

I scored a 3 on the test seems i have a problem with the mid green wavelength
Probably not. Tetrachomatics are very rare, women in general tend to see color a bit differently than men do. But the only reason tetrachomatics have become much more prevalent is because of digital monitors and photography, which are designed by trichromatics for trichromatics. For a tetrachromatic person, no matter how high-quality a monitor or digital screen is, it never really looks right to them.

When I took that test in real life while I studied to become a certified print technician 3 years ago, I got a perfect score. On this uncalibrated POS screen that I have no idea or desire to calibrate to printing specs, I got a 24...
Boredom also played a factor since I just sat there, thinking "I gotta go soon, this looks close enough!"...

I really think it´s down to your monitor, and that can play a factor either in the single digits or double digits for older monitors. I know monitors in the printing buisness have to be calibrated like hell so that they portray color as close to real life as possible, even simulating different types of paper. I´ve done it once, it´s tedious work.

While not defending that score, I don´t think it means anything when you do it online. Do it in real life, with real wavelenghts entering your eyes, instead of a mixture of Orange-Red, Green and Cyan-Blue diodes, faking the illusion of color.

0.

Then again, I've worked with colours all my life, this is pretty much a matter of pride. Scoring anything else would have been unacceptable.

Then I take the test and my result iiis....

4! If I took more time I might have gotten a perfect score, but I'll gladly take this. Funny that my discrimination is low in the blue area, that's the only colour my dad can really see. Even so, I rushed a little at the last bit.

I'm way too proud of this.
I got the exact same result.

I would have scored worse, but then I decided to change the color display on my laptop's monitor from "standard" to "sharp", and then I was able to pick out 15 slight errors and correct them in about 30 seconds.

Considering this resulted in a near-perfect score, I think it's more likely I skimmed over the blue in correction than my having trouble seeing it.
But then again, I spent the last several minutes on a slightly muted monitor, swapping around muted color pallets while my chums are trying to Skype me. There came a point where I sort of stopped caring.

Mostly that is because you brain lumps together different wavelengths when it does not feel the need to differentiate. So the party that cares more, or is trained, sees colors more accurately.

on topic I looked at the test and deiced i did not want to strain my already tired eyes on this crap monitor but I guessing I would not do well. Also the lighbringer series is awesome. My favorite part so far is that when one of the main characters kills something big and unfamiliar, he decides to dismember it and burn the body just in case.

I'm amazed I got a perfect score, I was expecting a 3 or so... but apparently I've got great color differentiation vision... awesome.

I did that test several months ago on my desktop and got a 0. Did it just now on my laptop and got a 15. So yes, the screen definitely makes a difference.

I got 35, being on 10-15, I am apparently above average.

Among certain shades of blue and green I did badly and out of nowhere I did badly in the far right shades of pink and red, But I did well on some greens.
