Stop trying to control everybody just to increase your own self esteem. You are frustrated because people speak back to you, an it isn't the answer you want. I suggest multiple attempts to speak with cows, which would yield you the result you are currently seeking.

I knew a guy who complained about the same stuff OP complained about. He was also the most bloody exhausting person to talk to, ticked me off with the inhuman air of superiority he clearly didn't realize he gave off, and would sooner try to convert you to his way of thinking before realizing that a music recommendation is a music recommendation, not a bloody cry for help.

OT: No. I got over the "frustrated" stage a loooong time ago, I've reached the passive annoyance stage.

If they want to be stupid in their own time, that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Well, maybe slight annoyance, but nothing other than that.

Unless i'm getting payed to care... then I don't. I care about the people paying me, and I care about the clients who are responsible for me getting payed. When I encounter something which interests me a little, then I usually comment on it in some way. But truth be told, then I don't really care what anyone here has written.

I have read the OP and my interest in this topic stops there. I have provided no valuable information or added anything of interest to this discussion, and I am sure that 70% of the other posts are just as pointless as my own, so why waste time reading them?

Thinking is overrated.

Most people don't think at all. Neither do you, OP. It is a skill, and a very contextual skill at that. I am good - excellent, even - at thinking historically, at thinking on narrativism and the representation of history. I am a horrible to mediocre thinker on anything else.

Look at this way If everyone around you is responding in a way you dislike. what is more likely, that all of them are wrong or that you are wrong?

I always keep that in mind when talking to people, Still I can not discount the possibility that you genuinely have no friends you find intellectually stimulating. Maybe join a club or hobby that attracts like minded people. If you friends don't get you, go out and find someone that will

Yes, actually. I'm a very compassionate person, but knowing what people are capable of doing puts me in the position of both being concerned for and being annoyed by them.
