I can't buy any games due to the fact that my PC can't run shit and I don't have a current-gen console anymore, so yeah let's pretend I'm boycotting them, what's more let's pretend that I don't play WoW anymore because I'm boycotting them, not that I really have any interest in they're games anymore.

No. Of course I hardly ever buy games so boycotting a company basically boils down to me doing the same thing as I am anyways but standing on a soapbox while doing so.

Not so much boycotting as not buying their games because they suck. If they start releasing genuinely great games with no dodgy money making schemes tacked on then I'll consider than cured.

Kinda, they have no series I like. Swapped Call of Duty (only series of theirs I played) for Battlefield. They are dead to me. And I don't wanna feed the Kotick.

Yep. I started reading up on Kotick, and have stopped purchasing their games. I don't think I've made exceptions, either.

Yup. Voting with my money and all that. Not that it's that big of a deal for me since there's almost no games by them that strike my interest.

I also cheat and rent. I still count it as boycotting if I never own an Activision game.

I have been boycotting Activision for a few years now, and I will continue to do so until Bobby Kotick steps down as CEO. I cannot in good consciousness support that man with my hard-earned money.

Sure I've missed out on some games (admittedly most of their titles don't interest me anyway), but I'm willing to make personal sacrifices for something I feel is the right thing to do.

Yep. Last game I bought published by Activision was Prototype. For me it was the whole suing Double Fine to block Brutal Legend's release that made me jump on the whole screw Activison bandwagon. Haven't bought an Activision game since then. I didn't even get the new Starcraft game, and I use to love Starcraft back in the day. But I made the switch from Guitar Hero to Rock Band and Call of Duty to Battlefield and haven't looked back.

What else does Activision have that's coming out this year? There's no more Guitar Hero, no more Tony Hawk. I know Prototype 2 is coming out but what else do they have?

If by boycotting you mean not buying their games cause I was disappointed with what they did with MW2 and decided to give them a shot with Blops and wasn't able to play the game for like a month and a half because they rushed it out the door so i'm done with their increasingly unoriginal game, then yes.

I read a few times about how people are boycotting activision and I wanted to start a survey of the escapist to see how many escapist members are doing that.

Edit: not another broken poll, the escapist really needs to fix this issue.

Edit edit: boycotting is not buying their games, you can still like their games but you stopped buying from them because of their business practices.
Ive taken inventory of the games I own and I think theres only one game I own that is published by Activision and that is Quake Wars, and I barely played that. So ya, Im boycotting activision without even trying.

After reading all of that, it just made me realize exactly how much I hate Activision, or more or less Kotic.

A online based subscription for Call of Duty? Are you mad?! Its hard enough to justify the $60 USD spent on a Call of Duty game to begin with as it just being a cookie cutter from the year before, but to have to pay a monthly subscription on top of X-Box Live? Ridiculous.

You know you are doing something horrible wrong when you make EA Games look like the poster child of excellence.

No, unlike most "cool" people, I actually enjoy the Call of Duty games. Not to mention that Guitar Hero is no where near as good as Rock Band, and the Tony Hawk series died after Tony Hawk's Underground. Just because they put the final bullet into the dying horse doesn't mean they're evil. And hell, if you don't like their games don't buy them.

I do not buy Activision games. The last one I bought was Modern Warfare 2, and I have no intention of allowing them to have another penny out of me.

I could really care less what Activision does. If a game is awesome Im buying it. If a game doesn't look like it will shape up be a 9/10 in my books Im not buying it. the publisher and/or developer of a game is honestly the last thing i care about when it comes to my purchasing choices.
