Are you comfortable with public displays of affection?

No.
Not for OP's reasons anyway, on bad days it's bound to remind me that I'm an incurable loner, which is kind of depressing.

I don't care.

Unless it's done with the intent of being rude, then that's kind of irritating.

I would be completely fine doing them. I do more embarrassing, disruptive and strange things in public, I don't care what people think of me.

Hate to sound... uh... sexual orientation-ist, but it depends on the gender of the people performing the PDA.

I'm not a huge fan of it but I mostly ignore it. I often just mock it and like -Zen- think of
how long it will their relationship will last.

Moderate display of affection is fine. Specially hugs. I like hugs.

Now, if people are making out on plain sight, then for F*&% sake, go find a room! We don't need to see you grabbing your partner's ass and swalling his/her tongue down your throat.
If you don't like it don't watch.

I don't mind public displays of affection and I don't mind engaging in them. If people "don't need to see it" they are perfectly capable of shutting their eyes or averting them

Well, being in 8th grade, I don't see a lot of that. At this point it's either hugs or "EWWW! Girls are gross!"
Lol, really? Had a few chicks get pregnant when I was in eighth grade.

OT: Probably gonna loose any cred I have with the jaded cynic crowd, but I've always been glad to see happy couples. I try not to think to hard about how long their relationship will probably last realistically.

Usually I don't give a shit what people think about me but I don't like kissing my girlfriend out in public when I walk her to her work or if someone asks for a hug (which thank fuck doesn't occur very often).

Guess I'm just weird. =/

It doesn't bother me that much, but when I'm in a situation where it's me, a friend and my friend's girlfriend in a bar. And they start to make out, yeah it gets really awkward.

At which point I usually take out my phone and start playing games, if it gets too awkward. I'll pull the pretend my phone is ringing trick to get me out. Or just simply get up and leave.

Well, I know a couple who's been together since at least 7th grade.
Other than that, I'd go out, but whenever I think about it, the semi-popular gossip-lampreys
(you know, those things that cling to sharks for protection and food) start bothering me about it, and it's just not worth it.

I do actually do this from time to time, so I dont care unless someone is getting REALLY crazy with it. You know, like halfway to sex stuff.

As long as it's not overtly sexual I don't really care what people do in public. If it is overtly sexual I'll usually pick a good seating area and watch for a while.

Ignore this, wrong thread.

Edit: Screw it, I have a response for this one too.

If it happens right infront of me then yeah, its a bit uncomfortable, or if the 2 (or more) are really going at it in a public area I always think they could maybe tone it down a bit. Otherwise I'm fine, I usually find them kind of sweet depending on the manner.

On a sort of related note, my eyes always seem to focus on the only people kissing in a crowded area right at the moment they look at me and that is VERY uncomfortable.

Yes personally I have no problem with it as long as you aren't actually having sex it doesn't bother me in the slightest, either gay couples straight couples or whatever.

Sadly enough, I do hate it when random strangers start making out and stuff in my eyesight. Like in public transport or stuff.
But there is a simple reason for that: I am too old, too jealous, too cynical, and it has been a loooonngg time since I felt the touch of the opposite sex x] so we all have our own reasons for hating or not caring...
Pretty much this. It's worse the "lighter" the affection is though. I don't want to see no cutesy snuggling or holding hands, that makes me jealous. Want to damn near fuck infront of me? Go for it, I'll just watch and save it for later.

Yeah, that doesn't sound too good does it?...
