I for one am completely excited mainly it was pure crap on Bioware's part to take a lively character from the first game and completely strip her down in the sequel.
it's called development when a character changes form young and naive, to cold, hard and serious based on some traumatic event in her recent past. not being stripped down

and also the thought of Liara stripping gives me funny feelings....down there. LoL
Her attitude change was fine since they did it with Garrus as well but it seemed like an imcomplete encounter since she was my love interest in ME1 and she kisses you and then thats that. Were talking about the person that went on a huge search for your body when you died here.

Liara? Lively? Liara is almost exactly the same between 1 and 2. The only noticeable difference is she seems to have a slight personality in 2.

No, not at all.

I'm not sure what it is, but Mass Effect doesn't seem like a "DLC game" to me. I like the series, but the game isn't fun enough for me to splurge money over something that really has no business in the story part of the game.

could you imagine how hard it must be to include every possible outcome in a game like that?
I agree with you all the love interest encounters are short shrift, i think that's mostly to pave the way for your new love interest, Liara is the only one who doesn't say "It's over between us" but I'm waiting for the love triangle moment in Mass Effect 3

do we even know if Liara is going to be in this DLC?

Dude, Liara was not a 'lively' character. I found her rather flat. She didn't seem to have anything motivating her to join Shepard's crew, and I found the romance stupidly forced. In ME2, at least she was there for a reason beyond "Awesome blue tits."

Not really, no. I've never found Liara to be that appealing of a character and the whole Shadow Broker thing, while interesting, isn't something I'd buy DLC just to experience. Personally, I'm going to be happy just finding out the details from the DLC storyline wise on the web somewhere and that will be good enough for me.

I'm surprised how many people in this thread aren't feeling the ME2 love... personally I thought it was the best game of this generation.

And hell yes, I have been dying to find out who the Shadow Broker is ever since that little Volus mentioned him in ME1.

Anyone know what time it's coming out?

Damn this thread is just bursting with negativity. And I though people who played Bioware RPG's were cheerful nice people with balanced opinions (lol jokes). But seriously, Lair of the Shadow Broker is looking awesome. Overlord wasn't the best DLC but I'm looking forward to see what new things LotSB will bring in. The more character development the better!

I tried searching the forums for a thread on this but found nothing. (Shield)

Just want to know who else is excited for the new DLC for Mass Effect 2 coming out tomorrow. I for one am completely excited mainly it was pure crap on Bioware's part to take a lively character from the first game and completely strip her down in the sequel.

This is also suppose to be the first of many DLCs that bridges the gap between Mass Effect 2 and 3 and solves questions between Mass Effect 1 and 2.

What are your thoughts?
heres a better idea, don't buy it, just watch a utube vid of it, someone thats dumb enough to buy a dlc.
Why does that make someone dumb to buy DLC? Some people like to play stuff that expands on the story and enjoy the game a lot. Kind of rude if you ask me.
