Not planning on it but if I was going to buy a CoD game it would be this one. Realism sucks future tech is awesome.

Hopefully this means they're bored with realism. I get enough of that without gaming.

I'll probably get it some time after release. Too many games to play at the moment, and I want to wait until Treyarch fixes the inevitable bugs/glitches/lag problems/whatever.

I'll probably get it when the price drops, or borrow it from a friend. The setting looks pretty interesting, and I'd like to see if they explore the "man is still needed in an era of machines" theme (you know, the trailer says "they'll always need people like us (soldiers)," but to expand on that, are regular citizens rioting because their jobs have been taken by robots? Are there extremist groups based not on religion, but on an opposition to continued outsourcing of human jobs to automatons?). It looks like a slightly smarter game than the stuff the Modern Warfare series has been churning out, so I have relatively high hopes.

Also, mindlessly shooting things is fantastic in moderation. I probably won't play much beyond the campaign though.

I think I've had enough of racist, boring, 3-hour-long-campaign gunwank games for a few lifetimes. Besides, now that I've played Spec Ops: The Line, I don't think I can ever look at a modern war shooter again. White phosphorus, man...

Eh, I liked Black Ops due to the zombies, but even that was getting stale by the time that game was done with, I likely won't bother picking this up, at least not for full price.

The only thing that makes me interested in it is that Trent Reznor is making the soundtrack, and that's intriguing to me.

Other than that, no I probably won't be.

Are you serious!? I see people on these forums complain all the time how derivative the FPS genre has become, and yet the majority of you are buying the game that has been the main contributor to a lack of innovation? You guys are making your beds; enjoy lying in them.

Never put "innovating" in the same sentence as that franchise.
As for the question, no I will not. Modern Warfare was the last decent game in the series and since then it has been a cavalcade of mediocrity. MW2 offended me as a human being and MW3 was a massive "&#$% you" to the entire video game industry.

Offended you as a Human being? I know people hate CoD but this has just gotten to the point of being more sad now then anything.

Yeah probably. I'll be getting it on the WiiU. I still only play FPSes with mouse or motion control. I suck otherwise.

I enjoy the online multiplayer for the games. I like the challenge of trying to beat the online opponents. Its always fun and I never feel like I'm 'grinding'. MW3 was my least liked in the series. Didn't like the level design (other than seatown).
