Yes, I am happy.

I have an amazing girlfriend and a good family, a great group of friends that introduced me to a whole new social scene (punk concerts), lots of games to play, my bass, and Hume Lake is coming up next month.

Happiness is provided to me by the one perfect thing on this world. I am disconected to her for the next 2 months.

I'm not that happy right now.

I think I know what it is that makes you so happy, if you'd care to hear it. Freedom. Knowing that whatever choices you make, they're yours and yours alone, and no one can take it from you. Just my thoughts. It's nice to see someone that can appreciate the little things in life. :)
I agree completely.

It's a very hard feeling to explain. It's almost like going on vacation after a long period of hard work.

I was always so stressed about work and bills and having food, and I just suddenly realized that everything is fine. I'm fine. I'm doing great. I'm healthy, I'm meeting new people, I'm making new friends at work. I've even taken up a new hobby; Cooking.

Life is good. And I really hope that everyone gets to experience this at one point.
Sometimes you just have to stop thinking, take a deep breath, and realize that things are fine.

Not really. Things could be a hell of a lot worse so I'm not complaining much but my ambitions are far and away beyond my abilities and its a tad depressing.

Not particularly.

I've been trying to get a better job for a while now and haven't had any luck which is kicking my esteem in the right testicle.

Then my weight loss has stalled and that's kicking me in the left testicle.

And the constant family drama is a third kick right up the middle.

To be happier I'd need to finish losing the weight and join the military. After that I think I'll have the confidence and sense of worth to pursue the other things that I hope make me happier.

I'm pretty content.

I just graduated highschool which is cool. But I'm anxious to start these tests for this job down at the jail. If I can get it, I'll be making enough to where I can move out to my own place, I believe. I love my family and all, but they are driving me a bit nuts.

Also, I deleted my Facebook. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Actually....Yes.

While at the grocery store a few nights ago, I realized a few things:

1) That I love going to the store at 11:30 at night.

2) I'm oddly happy with my current situation.

I'm a 24 year old, single male working two retail jobs 7 days a week. After my rent and other bills, I never have enough money left over to buy things I want instead of need.

The feeling of coming home alone every night, eating dinner, and going to bed to be up for work the next morning had me starting to feel a tad depressed. Then, one night, as I was walking through the grocery store, singing loudly to my iPod and watching all the people stare at me as I gleefully chucked food into my basket, I had the sudden realization that I was happy.

I don't need a ton of money. I pay my bills and I eat. I'm fine.
I don't need a relationship. I've been single for 5 years, and it's about time I embrace it. Apartment unbearably hot? Underwear+AC=comfortable. I'm not tied to anyone, I depend on no one, and no one depends on me. Do I miss the closeness of another person? Sure. But I don't need it.

I can't really explain what made me realize that I'm happy. It's like something just switched on.

I'm happy. I love life. I love living, and I'm alive.
I've got great friends, great parents, and I'm making new friends at work.
I have a clean home, good, plentiful food, and plenty of things to keep me entertained.
What more could I ask for?
Your life is exactly what I'm aiming for right meow. Exactly.

I have a plan, job, truck, shotgun, ammo, and place I can call my home. Not happy, but definitely content.

How about you, OP? No mention of if you're happy or not.
Not really happy, although i try my hardest to convince myself i am , Lack of self confidence + extremely anti-social ( having a stranger talk to me while im waiting for the bus is the worst thing that could happen to me and would completly ruin my day ). So the i got like 1 friend. I also have a decent job , but i work with people i hate ( anti-social remember ?) but i get the bills paid and have enough money for my gaming hobby. I think i would be happier if i could convince myself to be social.

Well yes i am happy.

A few days ago i made plans for the following years and realized i can execute those plans quite easy

this summer 2 weeks to China
then work all summer and reanimate my WoW account
when summer is over i'm going to finish school and keep on working
summer 2012 i want to go to Ireland for a couple of weeks to find out if traveling alone is something i can do
then to college for 3 years and when thats over:

im gong to travel to asia or africa or south america and see different culture anddo some work here and there

this doesnt sound like i'm happy but i am. Finally i realised that having long term goals with short terms goals is a great way to become happy.

Even the fact i'm single doesn't bother me right now...
but it's one of my short term goals toget a girlfriend...

Long live happiness!

No, no I am not happy. Michael Bay is destroying my childhood yet again. To feel happiness again I would have to drive over his shattered remains in a red semi truck until all that remained was a puddle of red sludge. Then it's time to move on the Shia Laboufe.

Well, you're on the right track. Don't worry about convincing yourself you're happy, think of changes that you think would make you happy and make them. The confidence, that you have to convince yourself of. You tell yourself enough times that you're awesome, and soon enough you'll start to believe it, then you'll become awesome. Learning to play mind games with yourself actually goes a long way.

Not particularly.

I am simultaneously in a state of feeling entirely lonely and entirely sick of people.

I want to find a girl who won't make me jump through a million hoops to gain her affection and friends who actually make an effort to hang out with me instead of having me do the planning and execution.

Opposite negative feelings at the same time makes it pretty damn hard to be happy. I'm like the yin-yang of unhappy at the moment.
