Like some people here already mentioned. For heaving short hair during the summer and a pair of combat boots, people sometimes compared me with a nazi. But I'm a bit more of a leftist than some might think. If you want to have enough room for yourself in a train, a mohawk is recommendable too! Though I don't have one anymore.

People have good reasons to believe such, but a lot of people ask if I'm in the Army. I keep my hair fairly short, shave with an electric razor almost every day, and wear my dogtags everywhere, but I'm not in the military.

People also think I hate them just because I don't talk much unless it's a worthwhile conversation, so then I have to explain that it's nothing against them, I'm just not very talkative.

People in my community where sides are formed assume I'm gay because I'm not a chav, a gangsta or a metalhead. (They are all really pushy about their respective trends) me, and my group of friends are like a minority group of "in-betweeners." (Not to say we go between any of those groups, it's just we don't define ourselves as a group like that.)

Nah I can't have one of those I still don't want to get in trouble whith the boneheads beacose where I live I haven't met any S.H.A.R.P's or R.A.S.H so I'm alone and the boneheads aren't alone where I am.... so you get my situation, ey? :/
Ah yeah, I get that. There isn't that problem where I live really.

It's unfortunate but maybe you ought to dress down if people's reaction to you bothers you. I'm sure you can understand why people are bothered by it if you look similar to these guys and YOU'RE bothered by them! It sucks but I have to admit since I lost the leather and cut my hair I've had a much easier time of it. Sometimes it's nice to surprise people but sometimes you don't want people to be surprised when you're nice. Sometimes you want it to be taken for granted.
I get what you mean and it's a smart move but nah, I keep to this before I was totally normal and stuff but I never really felt comftable in totall ordernary clothes but in the clothes and haircut I have now I feel comfable and are not willing to give it up beacose of some swastika weilding idiots that don't know shit. don't you think I'm right? (not nessesary to agree^^)

People often assume I'm under the influence of drugs or alcohol most of the time. Even though I've never been drunk or even touched any sort of drug.

It's pretty harmless, just a bit irritating when people who don't know me start to form preconceptions, thats all.

Uh, people see me as the quiet and shy guy...which I am. Well, until i've been around them for a while then I'm more talkative but even with one of my bestfriends I sometimes don't like to approach/start a conversation incase i'm ignored/unwanted.

I guess people think because I don't talk much I have an innocent mind but they are sooooo wrong:)

People at my school call me "closed-minded" because I don't read Glenn Beck and don't agree with their "libertarian" politics. Yeah. I'm closed-minded because they spit racist and homophobic elitist junk at me and I disagree and explain why I disagree.

People think that becuase I was in foster care, my dad was a bad father, and my family didn't want me. My dad was really, really sick, and most of my relatives were too old to take care of me and my brother. I still kept regular contact with all of them, and they even got along with my foster family.

On a lighter note: I never mention that I like either comic books (NO, I DON'T HAVE SEVERAL BOXES OF COMICS IN MY HOUSE! My friend does, but I don't... I only have one box.) or pro wrestling (I KNOW IT'S FAKE! To me, I veiw it like a soap opera... but with more fight sequences.) If I mention either of these two interests, people give me weird looks.

Well of course I'm usually taken for something else! I'm usually taken for an arrogant asshole, but that's... actually a pretty fair assumption, since I act that way some of the time in school or around friends even though it's the opposite of what I really am. Truth is I'm a really nice and sensitive guy, I'm just kinda nervous...

Oh I understand and it's good that you feel comfortable, it's just a possible diplomatic move if people get too in your face about it. Problem is you're not a duck, but you're quacking like one so you can't blame people for being confused.
Yeah I know what you mean it's not always fun than one you know always shove it up your face "you are a fucking racist!" i ask "why" he answers "Look how you dress!" and I usally answer "you know bescose I dress like this it dosen't mean I am something I'm not your mo********** **** ********" so I get your point and ofc they who know me usally gets comfused but peapole usally always looked at me intimidating... dunno why.

People always call me a Nazi because I speak to myself (and have every electronic thing I own) in German. I live in Australia, so you can guess my country's native language.
