In a way, I guess that Mikey here isn't entirely me. The side of my personality that shows up on the internet is entirely different from the one that shows itself to friends, which is entirely different from the one that shows itself to the general public.

I still need to change my username to Sir Bartholomew Stilton, but I don't want to go through the trouble of racking up a post count again...

I try not to adopt my username into the real world,but my Aunt,Uncle,and Mom always go "Eh! Jimmy Bassatti!".
So really, it's sorta by force.
I'm thinking of getting my name changed to that.

I'd love to, but real-life stuff's gotten in the way of my hobbies at the moment. I'll be sure to stop by when I get the chance, though.

Unlike an actual game, in which a player has an actual manifestation of a seperate, controlled character, a forum only allows a visual and a pennameto associate the user with.

So, are you your username? Or are you controlling a loosely defined character?

For me, I feel like only few fascets of my entirety are expressable on the internet, and I personally view, "Erana" as a mere outlet for my nerdieness.
Of course, the mere thought of "Erana" being a seperate entity is kinda odd, considering how much I say, "I"...
Well, lets just say that there was a long, internal monologue, and that I do only play the role of Erana.

But in all seriousness, I'm not any different online or offline, the switching of personalities (to me) would be kind of awkward if you had different friends who knew different "versions" of you, and they all came to your birthday party (or something along those lines).

Nothing against people who do like to do that, to each their own, y'know, but I prefer to be one person. (or Goomba, Shhh!)
