But seriously, that sounds so very damn shady. Looks Like Mass Effect 3 will be the last EA game I knowingly purchase.

EA is a clever peddler of spyware, I'll give them that. Baiting people with one of the biggest games of the year at half price and then flat out lieing about it needing their spyware distribution system.

Also really calls into question if store-bought copies of SWTOR will need Origin or not. The developer says no, but, they do work for EA, who is pure sleaze.

Yea I tried that last night. I just wasn't a fan of the low graphics settings.

You can buy it new for £22.95. Save a couple quid and get a box edition.
