Finally got some money to buy a game and frankly i can't choose. Which one do you think is better? I loved Arkham Asylum but they said Dark Souls is incredibily challenging, never played Demons SOuls, though.

It's too early to judge games that aren't out yet. One of them, at least, since another one is being released in the next hour.

I watched a few hours of IGN's 24 hour livestream of Dark Souls. It looks amazing. I think that it will be better than Batman:AC, myself.

demon's souls was my favorite game of this console generation. arkham asylum was good, but easy and pretty repetitive. i dont know if the sequel will suffer the same problems but i would go with dark souls, no question

Buy Dark Souls now and spend your break times acquiring the necessary $60 to buy Arkham City later on. That's my suggestion.

Both look like winners. Early reviews suggest that Dark Souls is every bit as good as Demon's Souls. Arkham City seemed to me like the most likely game of the year to actually live up to its hype, simply because they were basically taking what worked and expanding on it.

I haven't played Demon Souls, but if you play games for the challenge then probably Dark Souls (you should probably try Demon Souls to see how you like it).

I'm getting Arkham City because Arkham Asylum is in my top 5 of all time (as I've been saying a lot lately) and the first reviews for AC have been very, VERY positive. A couple 10/10's already, apparently.

It depends on your taste. Again, I haven't played Demon Souls, but DS and AC seem like completely different games. Its like deciding between, say, Catherine or Saints Row 3.

From what I understand, Dark Souls is going to be more of the same, and Demon's Souls is pretty nutstomping as far as difficulty goes. I strongly advise you to at least watch some gameplay to see if it's up your alley. It's different from most infamously hard games, with the focus on preparation and memorizing trap/enemy locations rather than reflexes.

I say all of this because I think Dark Souls is going to be great, but Demon's Souls (the 'original') was definitely hit or miss.
