Kevin Conroy voiced "a younger, brasher" version of Batman just fine on Mask of the Phantasm. He can do it here.
Eh... While the mannerisms were substantially different, the voice wasn't enough to fully convey the number of years that had passed in Gotham. It was like there was only a year's difference rather than a decade.

Still, easily my favorite Batman movie. I would love to see a cameo by Andrea in this game.

On topic: Let's see how the voicework is in the trailers before we damn the poor guy who has to fill Conroy's shoes...

I should probably google this, but who voiced the Batman for Injustice?
Kevin Conroy.

I think John DiMaggio did the Joker, but I could be wrong.
No, DiMaggio did Joker in Under the Red Hood (incidentally, the Batman in that, who was not Kevin Conroy, was a decent Batman voice I could see being used).

Whoever did the atrocious Joker voice in Injustice was not DiMaggio.

Different Developer
Shoehorned-in Multiplayer
No Mark Hamill
No Kevin Conroy

You don't need to be the world's greatest detective to predict that this game won't be on the same level as its predecessors.

EDIT: though, if they're sticking with the "Silver Age" theme, they could always get Adam West to voice Batman

Oh. Wrong I was, then. All I know is that his voice reminds me of one of the stock VAs in Skyrim. Y'know, the one who voiced Proventus Avenicci?

Why not just use a filter to make his voice seem younger? Same for many other things there are so many audio tricks yet they refuse to use them to not make everyone in a game sound the same....

How about using edited clips from the first two Arkham games? I mean, come on. It's not like Batters will have a lot to say in this game that he won't have said (and therefore Conway would have recorded[footnote]think also of the clips left on the cutting room floor[/footnote]) before.

"Hey, you know those Batman games that sold like hotcakes?" said the Warner Brothers executive. "Let's get rid of everything good about them. Our customers are clearly sheep who won't notice if Rocksteady is gone, if we remove established voice actors and hey, we sure would like to add some of that... whatsitcalled... multiplayer! Kids do seem to like that these days! Okay, toodles!"

And then he whacked himself in the face with a shovel and proceeded to set fire to his own trousers.

So... Not a sequel to all the plot threads in Arkham City, but instead a prequel. No Hamill. No Conroy. Not made by RockSteady...

Warner Bros, remind me why I want to buy this game? Because I think I'm losing track...

Why does young Batman need a different voice? Conroy pretty much already sounded like that when he was twenty.

That said, I wouldn't mind if they got Bruce Greenwood. He did a pretty good job in Under the Red Hood. Just so long as they don't bring back Rino Romano (The Batman), he was terrible.

P.S. thanks

Close your eyes and imagine that Batman is talking to you. If the voice you hear isn't Kevin Conroy's, then you're doing it wrong.
What if the voice I hear is Christian Bale instead?

Then it's the voice you deserve...but not the one you need.

I can't say I'm surprised. When I heard it was a prequel a young, inexperienced Batman, I knew Conroy wouldn't be voicing it. I love Conroy (favorite Batman ever), but his voice wouldn't work. He's got a grizzled, experienced sound to his Batman voice. A young Batman with a grizzled, experience voice would just sound off.

It just makes sense to me for someone else to do it. WB just needs to be very picky about who gets it (North should almost be out of the picture at this point, unless he can nail the voice down). Find someone who sounds "off" and the fan-hate will bomb this game before it ever comes out.

I would be in favor of Greenwood as well, he was decent in that and also in Young Justice. Of course no-one will come close to Conroy. I just hope it's not Nolan North as the above poster said he's in almost every game these days and it's getting weird.

Meh, not the end of the world. They could always hire Bruce Greenwood; he was a pretty solid Batman on Young Justice.

That's because it is the same actor. He also voiced Raiden in MK 2011. In case you already couldn't take him seriously as the Joker heh.

My first thought was an immediate rage, but the reasoning makes sense after a minute of thinking about it. They need a younger guy to play Batman, and Kevin Conroy probably sounded a bit to close to his normal batman voice. Not to say that he probably couldn't pull it off, but hey, what's done is done. I know its natural to just rage at this kind of news, but we should probably wait to we see a trailer or something and hear the new voice.

The only problem would be finding someone to voice him. The only other Batman that I liked was the guy who voiced him in Young Justice and Under the Red Hood, but he still sounds a bit old.

Unless it turns out the new voice actor is Will Friedle and it's all an elaborate prequel to Batman Beyond...
I think it would damn hilarious if he voiced Batman considering his character in the DC Animated Universe.

Although...a Batman Beyond game in the same way as the last to Arkham games sounds really good now that I think about it. I-I think I would enjoy that a lot actually. Ooh.... =O

I believe it was Richard Epcar. He's done a bunch of voice work over the years like Ghost in the Shell, Bobobo-bo bobo-bo, Digimon, Kingdom Hearts, etc. Definitely weird to hear him in Injustice, since that style of role isn't what he usually gets, but I kinda enjoyed it.

This game is getting less and less attractive as time goes on. If they ditched the 'Arkham' part of the title I wouldn't mind as much, but it seems like a blatant cash-in on a popular series but with a whole lot of cutting corners to save on the budget a decent game would require. Is it even about the origin of Arkham asylum? From all the press it sounds like it's about the origins/early years of Batman.

Imagine it! Imagine luring Inque to the water, or facing Shriek in Old Gotham, or the final showdown with Blight...And the Iron Man-like flying! I want my Arkham Beyond!

OT: I'll still buy it because Black Mask is in it and I really want him to get some screen time. I love Black Mask.
